She starred, Oh how she starred off of the veranda into the hill filled landscape, but her gaze shifted downwards with longing towards the cold hard ground there, where water drained from the clouds above, and where her dear beloved lay. For an instant, a grave temptation filled her, and she took the smallest step towards the rail, that blocked her for her poisonous want. Blocking her, from being free, from simply being... The girl blinked, and turned her head towards the sky, letting the pellets of water pound apon her fragile face, her tears, making a small warmth, then fading, amongst the cold of the sky.
*Note sorry if this is not in the right forum, it's not really a poem...it's more like a short story, so I posted it here.( though it might be to short for a short story)
