It was a beautiful, sunny day with only a few clouds in the sky. The sun was directly above the area, shining light down on the fields in which this particular story begins. There were flowers scattered across the place, and a light breeze blew pollen to other places to pollinate flowers so that next year may have even more flowers.
Kavrin was strolling along, thinking various things. Mostly about how much his life has changed since he came to Namiah. Pretty much every change that has occured has been for the better, he concluded. He evolved, he was a part of an almost-pack called a namrah family, and he had some pretty great friends now. Speaking of friends, there was one of them right now. "Hi Kong! How've ya been?"
(Let's ignore the fact that he's technically nocturnal and just say that he's burning the metaphorical midnight oil xd )

Kongpang had been resting in a tree that over looked the open field when he noticed one of his friends walking though the field. Her fell of the branch and landed neatly on the ground. His tail wagged lightly as he walked over to him. Kavrin was the first to say anything and Kongpang smiled brightly.
"I've been fair good! Just being lazy and soaking up some sun in the tree! How have you been Kavrin?" He asked, smiling his usual timid smile.

Kavrin smiled, glad that Kong was doing well. He sat down, and said, "I've been pretty myself." He looked up at the sky, wincing slightly at the brightness. "It's still kinda weird being up at this hour. It's so bright out..." He said in almost an awed tone. The sun shone brighter than any flame any Houndoom alive could conjure, and most of them would sleep right through such a sight.

Kongpang nodded his head and looked up at the sky as well. "I'm usually more active at night myself. I prefer the darkness." He said, nodding his head and yawning lightly. He had actually been sleeping up in the tree until a few minutes before Kavrin showed up. "Besides, I prefer the coolness of the night. But, after all I am a moth." He said, smiling lightly.

"Houndoom prefer the night as well. Our eyes are better suited for it, and the darkness helps mask our dark fur." He stretched a bit, yawning slightly to wake himself up a bit, and sat back down. "Though it is nice out now. Seems a bit more colorful."

"Colorful, bright, and hot. Though, it's not all that bad, I just prefer the night. I go to bed late and wake up late. It works out nice!" Kongpang said, stretching his moth wings out behind him and thne letting them fall back against his back. He nodded his head and glanced around, spotting a butterfly and he quickly pounced at it, just barely missing it as it flew out of reach.

"You know, you catch more flies with honey than with vinegar," Kavrin commented when Kong tried to pounce he butterfly, "So rather than trying to get the butterflies maybe you should let them get you." He wasn't sure if Kong understood what he meant, but to demonstrate he picked some of the flowers surrounding them and carefully started weaving them together into a headband of sorts. It was difficult to do with paws, but he remembered learning it while his mother taught some of the female pups how to do it. He promptly placed the headband on Kong's head and said, "Maybe now the butterflies will land on your head."

Kongpang did look at him light he was confused but then smiled as the headband was placed on his head. "I guess it could work. And thank you!" He said, sitting back down and wagging his fluffy tail lightly behind him. He sat around and watched for anymore butterflies then turned his head to Kavrin. "So, have any ladies been after you yet?" He asked, smirking lightly and waiting for a response.

"You're welcome!" Kavrin replied to Kong's thank you. He thought about the second question for a moment. He didn't think any ladies were after him. "I've talked to one or two ladies, but I don't think any of them are after me," he concluded with a laugh. He only remembered one that he had spoken to recently, and she was a teen.
(Or rather she was a teen. Now she's not. xd )

Kongpang laughed and shook his head. "You'll find someone soon enough! I just worry about them thinking you're gay!" He said, laughing as his joke and she glanced around, waving his wings lightly and trying to look for any butterflies.

Kavrin nodded, laughing a bit at thier inside joke. "I'm sure I will eventually. I bet you'll find somebody too." He concluded. After all, if Kavrin could find somebody there was no reason why Kong couldn't. As for how long it will take for the both of them, only time can tell.

Kongpang shook his head. "I'm not all that concerned about it really. I mean, it'd be nice to have kids some day, but eh." He said, shrugging his shoulders lightly. Just as a butterfly had come near them, however it quickly flew off and he sighed. Moths were better anyway.

"Almost is always the key word. I h=guess they just don't like me! Well I have new for them, I don't like them either!" Kongpang said, sticking his tongue out at the open field. He nodded his head lightly then glanced back at Kavrin. He yawned lightly, "Up past our bedtimes?" He asked, laughing lightly. He stretched out his front paws ad the lied down in the patch of flowers.

"Yes, we are. Or at least I am," Kavrin replied with a smile and a laugh. He lied down in turn, half-regretting it the second he finished the movement due to a sudden wave of sleepiness passed over him. He rubbed his eyes a bit. "I would take a short rest, but I have a feeling by the time I wake up it'll already be half-past nightfall," Kavrin commented.
