Personal Strengths: Jessie is extremely loyal to those he puts his trust in. He's the kind of person that people come to when they're in trouble.
Personal Weaknesses: Due to his abilities, he has a more animal like nature. The whole fight or flight instincts are intense inside of him. He is one that turns more towards the fight then fleeing.
Personality: Jessie is a compassionate person who cares about his family. He is quick to anger, but those who are close to him can easily calm him down. He is also very protective, more of his family then anything else, especially his younger brother.
Mutant/Human Relationship View: While his family knows about his mutation, no one else does and because of the way his father treats him and then Spencer, and how he talks about how the other humans will treat him, Jessie has come to distrust every human he comes into contact with other then his family.
History: Born to Mary Beth and Ronald Soto, he was the oldest. His younger brother, Spencer, followed six years later and only a year and a half after Spencer's birth their parents separated. It all happened because Mary Beth found out that Ronald had betrayed their material bonds by paying a woman to sleep with him on a business trip to Chicago. The woman's name was Sarah Medding and nine months later she died giving birth to a baby girl. It wasn't until Alexandria was nearly five years old would Mary Beth learn of the girl and divorce her husband. Jessie found out about his half sister when he was nine years old. For him he lost his childhood the day he learned of Alexis. Ronald had kept track of Sarah Medding and afterward his daughter. Alexis was placed in a foster family near where Ronald lived with both Jessie and Spencer. It was then that Ronald started forcing Jessie to watch Alexis for him instead of private eyes. By the age of ten Jessie's mutation surfaced. First it started just as random parts of his body changing and then his whole body and for long periods of time where his panicked mind couldn't change back. When his father found out about Jessie's abilities he forced him to train, develop, and use his powers to watch Alexis. At the beginning Jessie resented his half sister. But he never questioned his father's judgment and did as he was told. It wasn't until Alexandria was moved to another foster family on the border of North and South Dakota did Jessie start to see a reason to protect his sister. She was apart of his family whether not she was in it or not and it was his job to protect her. During the time that Alexis and her foster brother were out hunting, Jessie had also been out hunting for himself something to eat. He was only about elven years old, and his father forced him to take care of himself. As he was chasing the deer to the field and Alexis' foster brother took aim, his hearing took over and he stopped. The sight of the gun scarred the young boy into paralysis. Jessie looked towards his half sister willing her to keep him safe. Alexis fell to his wolf gaze, forcing her foster brother to shoot in another direction freeing Jessie from his fear. He ran. He wouldn't allow his father to find out about the incident, but he kept a more carefully eye on his sister and started growing attached. Every move that Alexis took so did Jessie. His father kept his studies up so that his son could never be called stupid. When Alexis was shipped off to Tennessee, Jessie followed via his father's orders. It was a lot harder keeper track of his sibling in a busy city. But the day that Alexis was hit by a car Jessie's life changed. He could no longer use his mutant abilities to watch over his sister. He now had to use his own form. He also felt that he had let down some part of himself by not protecting Alexis the way he felt he should have. It was his father that had Alexis moved to an Arizona hospital so that he himself could watch over her. Jessie's days were lessened until they ceased in their entirety. That was until Alexandria woke up. And she didn't stay. New York was her destination, even though no one at the time knew it. Jessie was forced to follow her and his protectiveness of not wanting to see his half sister die, he helped her where he could with food when she was starving. Jessie kept up his ways until Alexis reached the Academy. The male knew where he was now and chose to stay. He reported in to his father with small reports and soon Ronald had him to watch all of the students to see who had the strongest, weakest, dominant, and recessive powers. Ronald Soto was now using his own son to gain information about the students for his own personal reasons. His child hood was rather uneventful, though he quickly learned how to stick up for himself and play tough, a skill that has helped him countless times. A lot of scientists, "acquirers", thugs... Standard Dress: He's casual, but there's a flair to his style that speaks of the fact that his clothing aren't exactly bought at the local store. Family: That's...complicated. Superhuman Ability: Minor Bio/gentic manipulation. Mostly all he could do was sense people's powers and genetic make up through touch and understand them. Abilities (not gained from mutation): First off, he's a scientist. He's a liar, and he's got cultural experiences. Basically - think of the suave guy who's setting everyone up around him and mix in the fact that he's just as good in a lab. Personality: He's a great liar - he has two sides. One is the cool, calculating person who puts on the next side. The second side is the "friend to all" persona who wants to do nothing more than help others...if only he had the means to do it. Hobbies: Does screwing over people's lives count? Mutant/Human Relations View: Mutant Superiority, all the way. But it has to be his way. History:Alright, I'm just going to start this from the point where its pertinent...and the only part that has been allowed to have been known. He met Shandra when she was almost sixteen. He offered her help to control what she saw as a defect in her powers. However, he had no real intention for helping her with that. Because he didn't see them as something he could do, nor would he want to do. He saw where they'd go...and wanted them that way. He couldn't harness her full potential if he suppressed it could he? So instead of finding the "cure" he promised her, Max/Doc set out to teach the suffering teen to cope with it. And taught her other things. You want to blame her stealing habits on someone? Oh yeah, blame him. From diamonds to art, from secrets to tech, he had her stealing everything. Either with the lie of "I need the money for research", "I owe someone", to "It will help with the research." Plus the telepath he had up his sleeve that she didn't know about to keep her subdued totally helped. As did the time traveler...but that's a sordid affair that's really too big of a fuss than its worth in his opinion. After all its not like he ever meant to hurt the girl. He just wanted to further himself and her powers...since they started to irritably act up in ways that hadn't been predicted to happen that early on. He became someone close to her - an older brother, a teacher, almost a father figure for the one that had been distant to her. Always involved in her education (mental, physical, power...grifting...thieving...) he made sure to keep some things repressed or wiped by the telepath after she finished using them. Couldn't have her catching on now could he? So this went on for a while...until that fateful day that Shandra had caught that he was planning to send her away. Oh, and that he had lied about studying to get her that serum to get her immune system back under control. (and there was a tiny bit about a time traveler here...again, he doesn't think its important and she doesn't remember so who is it hurting?) Yeah...well, when she found that out...he found out how well betrayal does not go over with her as he was pushed out of the second story window painfully. At this point in time, he's presumed to either be in the hospital for life or dead.
