Ace was hopping around the agency that Friday afternoon EXTRA happy-hyper. He was going to Hawaii!! With a super cool type of person! It was going to be SO AWESOME!!
But nevermind Ace, there was someone being left behind, and Susan felt guilty for it. She'd been fairly overlooked for her big brother's tendency to hog all the spotlight.
So, today, Susan quite overlooked Ace and went straight to Joy. No matter--Ace was already out running around for something he'd forgotten. Underwear or something like that.
"So, Joy, do you have any special plans for the break?" Susan plopped down, handing her a spoon to help her eat the banana split she had, and also more or less putting the ice cream in her other hand. Susan dipped into the chocolate part herself, taking a moderate spoonful out.

Joy accepted the spoon with a murmur of thanks to Susan. Though she had only recently heard of Ace's planned trip, she felt she was doing a very good job not showing her dissappointment. Joy had truely been eagerly anticipating some time with her brother, hoping perhaps he would not mind spending a few hours with her each day to plot on 'saving their father' or maybe something just as fun. Just...anything...anytime at all with her brother would have been dearly loved. Joy knew she was being selfish though. Her brother had a wonderful trip planned and she knew she shouldn't say anything about him going away. it would be good for him in fact. Good to get away from the city and to just enjoy himself.
Poking at the bananna with the tip of her spoon, Joy carefully carved off the tip with a bit of vanilla ice cream. "Mmm...no...well...maybe...I don't know..." She fumbled over a immediate reply while poking her carefully carved spoonful into the whipcream. "I think I can find out from my teachers what lessons we will be going over when break is finished as well as what assignments they are planning...and I can get a few book reports done in advance. I've only got two left."

"I don't think so," Susan immediately dismissed, "If you want to do some work, we can do some training. What would you like to do? I'll bet you and your dad at least have some special plans together?" She prodded, taking a larger scoop of ice cream out now. She was honestly curious, and interested curiosity was the primary emotion on her face.

Joy slowly shook her head as she placed the spoon in her mouth. Sucking the icecream off, she answered Susan a few moments later. "No. Daddy has work to do. I haven't even asked him anything because I don't want to be a bother. He's very busy. Ace and I had planned on saving him from the vampire but I think he may have forgotten." Joy shrugged her shoulders slightly as she took another spoonful of icecream from the dish.
"I wouldn't mind doing some training. I'm not sure what we could do though. I've been meditating by myself since I found out, though I don't think it's done me anygood. It's rather hard actually. I want to ask Ace how he does it but I figure we'll probably start talking about things that are politically improper." Joy could not help the smile that curled her lips. Her brother could be so funny sometimes.

Susan also smiled, "You mean politically explosive." She pointed out, then nodded, "Ok, we'll train a bit, and we'll find something to do together. I'm not sure what vampires you're talking about, but I'm sure that Mr. Edwards isn't being attacked by any mythological creatures. Do you like to go shopping? What do you like?"
Susan had pledged never to get too involved with her work at the N.S.A, but taking a day or two and maybe a few hours each day out when her normally busy schedule had suddenly dropped to nearly nothing because of current circumstances did not count as getting too heavily involved. She'd have plenty of time waste, still. She just---had forgotten how to waste time effectively. Being around bosses like Charles your whole adult life sort of did that.

"Mmm...Vampires aren't mythological." Joy replied as she pushed her spoon about in the whip cream. "See, I have a theory. I think Evolveds have exsisted far longer then people are willing to admitt. Think about it. Werebeasts and skinwalkers are basically the same thing as a shape shifter Evolved. Evolveds who have power over the elements could have been mistaken as elementals or fairies. My theory is that a Vampire type evolved could exsist as well. I sort of joked to Ace that one was hiding in the NSA building attempting to take over Daddy and Charles so it could start a war. He seemed to think there might be something to it, so we've been plotting a vampire hunt just to make certain Daddy is safe." Joy gave her shoulders a faint shrug as she looked up at Susan. "Ace is a genius. Really he is. So if he thinks there is something to..well..something...he has to be right."
"Anyways." She quickly continued on while lifting her spoon out of the whip cream to give it a small lick. "I would really like to do some training of any sort at all. I do like shopping too. And movies. I haven't been to see a movie in a long time. What about you Miss Susan?"
