Wilderness vs. Domestication The story takes place in the old west, Humans dream of Manifest Destiny in America and expand forward. The Native Americans do what they can to defend themselves, but what about the wild horses? They have been here long before the Natives came. Entire herds are disappearing from the rolling plains as they become domesticated and broken to be used to carry the lazy humans. Will this silent war ever be over? Table of Contents:1. Intro

Plot Morning rises, fillys, colts and herd mares sleep peacefully, with their ever brave and fearless stallion watching over them. He turns his proud head to the east where he expects the sun to rise, instead, he sees an enemy worse than the prairie wolves, humans. He roars(loudly whinnies) his herd awake and orders them to leave, to run as fast as they could. He stays behind to make sure that all of the herd is running, but can already tell that some have been caught. He tells his lead mare to take the herd and run, going back to aid his herd mates. In the process he is captured and broken, never to be seen from his herd again.
This stallion wasn't the only one to fall victim to the American humans. Many other herds are falling prey to it. Who will be captured and tamed? Will they escape, or have their spirits forever broken by the rough and evil human hand?

2. Bumping is forbidden so say no to the bump!
3. CONSISTENCY!!! If you want to be in this rp, BE IN IT!!! If you will be gone for a week or more, then please send me a PM so I/you can arrange for a member to shadow play your character so he/she doesn't get left behind in the story.
4. Being and advanced literate rp that this is. Please post at least one paragraph (at least 3 sentences), this isn't hard to do if you include details. I do understand that we get writer's block so if you must, you can post less. DO NOT MAKE THIS A HABIT!
5. If you're going to be a horse, title your PMs with "ToE: Rise with the Sun" for your profiles. If you're going to be a cowboy/girl, title your PMs " ToE: Manifest Destiny!". PLEASE PUT THE QUOTATION MARKS WITH THE TITLED PM'S!!! This will tell me that you have paid attention and read the rules.
6. No -- or ** for actions and italicize for thoughts. Use "" for speaking.
7. This is set during the time of Western Expansion, so no modern guns, lasers, rocket ships, etc. We ride horses, coaches and buggies. Pistols, muskets and swords are the weapons here.
8. Have fun! This is a classic western rp, think around the time that "Spirit Stallion of the Cimmeron" took place in.
9.No Godmodding, Chat Speak or Double-Posts. The first and second offence will be warnings the third will lead to you being banned. No Cybering keep it Pg 13, violateing this will result in an automatic banning.
10.Keep in character, use (()), [[]], or {{}} for OOC. Place a heart smiley at the end of your profile, they will not be accepted without it.
11.Post in past tense.
12. I am God, of this rp. I reserve the right to reject you and to dismiss you from the rp. I also have the right to change/add rules.
13. Only 2 character per person. They must be color coded, and yes black is a color.

Profiles *Two characters per person, if a horse is owned by a settler and both are played by the same person the horse does NOT count as a second character and should be played in sync with the owner.
* If you have the above mentioned situation, you do NOT need a profile for the horse. You need to mention the age of the horse, and it's bio in the humans Bio.

Personality: Very businesslike and to the point, Colonel Cunningham believes very much in Manifest Destiny. He is kind but strict with his men and gentle with horses.
Bio: Born and raised in Virginia, Cedric lived a life of privilage, having the blessing of going to school and going to the army. Because of his wealthy parents, the was basicaly able to buy his way into the position he's in now, and is preparing to make another, 'promotion' for himself to become a General.His growing fort has a growing need for horses, so he will stop at nothing to get what he needs for his troops. He raised Destiny since she was a filly when her mother was attacked by wolves. Though one would think that someone of his skill and caliber would ride something like a stallion, Cedric always preferred the female equines for their speed and easier temperment.

She is espically skittish around humans and will not give up in getting away from them. If it comes to it she will stand and fight the humans and their horses for her freedom.
Bio: Her mother, a bay with two socks, was standing over her, telling her to get up. It was a bright sunny morning, she was only three days old. She had finished eating and was dozeing. Then she heard the stallion command the mares to run, he whinned to them and then let out a battle cry. She tried to look but her mother nudged her in to a run as the herd feld. She looked back and tripped, her mom was cut off by the other herd members and the men were gaining. They stopped their horses and one got off, she was so dazed she couldn't move. "Look at this one, she's got blue eyes. She'd make a perty riding horse," the man said.The stallion had come to her rescue then and chased away the men.
She was a year old. They were near a stream in the middle of the day. Her mother was standing with her nose to her tail and she had her nose near her mothers tail, swishing flys off each other. By that time she had been chased after two other times, both because she "Would make a perty riding horse." She knew what to do when they came, stay close to her mother and run with the herd. The stallions fimilar call for them to run came and run they did. They went through the stream and ran following the stream. The herd turned and the men had fallen back, or so they thought. The banks here were steep and the water fast, there was a group of men blocking the path and another was rushing from behind. The herd turned and a group of men came at them trying to block them in but most excaped. Her mother, two other mares and her were trapped. Then men threw ropes at them and they bunched together. Her mother whinned, told them to run and they did. The other two mares were side by side in front and her mother in back putting her inbetween. She heard the men shout "Stop that little one," but they were running too fast. A rope flew at her and slapped her neck, leaving a bloody welt, that would mar her neck forever. They broke through the circle and ran on, but then her mother cried out and she stopped. Her mother was caught tied in ropes and screaming for her to run. That was the last time she ever saw her mother.

Bio: When Kalypso was a older colt, his mother was taken from him forcefully by humans. He followed the humans and his mother to a farm. He decided it better to not make his presence known. That night, while he was asleep, he was awoken to the death-scream of a horse. He galloped to the source of the noise, only to find humans gathered around his mother's dead body, butchering her for food, her blood streaming. Horrified, he fled as the humans chased after him. He ran as far away as possible, tears streaming down his muzzle. He has been on his own since then, holding a deep hatred for all humans.
