I am the only one who plays the Contra Clarinet in my band so I am basically called maybe once in every three or more months by my director and even then they call me by my sisters name even though she was a flute!
Share your loneliness! Even if you aren't alone share anyway!

I've never been REALLY ignored, but I have been forgotten about when I was the only one in my section.
But now, the other girl in my section is the (not meant in an insulting way) loudest person in the band I'd bet, so it's sort of hard to forget us now . . .

The low woodwind section is pretty much the most ignored section in out band, I asked the BD about it, he said it's because we never really mess up or need talking to...
