Sailor Team: Sailor Chibi-Moon, Sailor Ginga, Sailor North Star, and Sailor Kaguya. Sailor Ginga is the daughter of Ryoko and Tenchi (see Tenchi Muyo!), Sailor North Star is the daughter of Musashi and Koujirou (AKA Pokemon’s Jessie and James), and Sailor Kaguya is Yukina (see Yuu Yuu Hakusho).
Works closely with: Kurama, Kuronue, and Hiei (when he stops being the enemy). She often combines her attacks with Kurama, and this makes some pretty interesting combinations-can you imagine a man-eating, acid-spitting plant that shocks you before it eats you? Or an electric Rose Whip?
Love Interest: Kurama. Karasu is more like her stalker. He wants to kill her to see if she’ll just come back to life-and he seems to think she is his, and no one is allowed to kill her but him. It’s a rather twisted sort of love interest.

Crystal Abilities: Phoenix Funeral Pyre (resurrects a person under certain conditions), Phoenix Rose Crystal Eternal Power (most powerful offensive attack), Crystal Shield (like Neo-Queen Serenity’s, defense for if she falls in battle). It also flashes when she or another Talisman holder is in danger, and will release its power automatically in close proximity to the First and Second Talismans.
Note on her Crystal: It is a Talisman, an item created in the Age of the Gods, before the Silver Millennium, to restore Balance in the universe and to combat Chaos. Other Talismans include the Silver Crystal, Hiei’s Shadow Sword, Kurama’s Mirror of the Heart, and Kuronue’s Illusion Pendant. All are equal in power, but different in abilities. Houou was born with this crystal already fused to her Star Seed. Thus her crystal and the Talisman became one.
Other Abilities: Flight, the ability to sense the presence of other Talismans and their holders, and general sixth sense of energy/spirits
Flaws: Using her crystal can be painful. When it is inside her body, she suffers from frequent chest pains. Resurrection of a person or using her full power usually comes at a price-her own life energy, and how much of it is needed varies. She is also emotionally sensitive, and has low self-esteem and low confidence. This makes her prey to the brainwashing tactics of enemies. She is also a perfectionist.
Interesting Fact: She goes through the cycle of a phoenix once a year. She will use the Funeral Pyre ability on herself, dying and then being reborn. But using this ability on herself to prevent herself from dying from battle or illness is something she cannot control. It will either happen or it won’t. So she doesn’t have control over her own mortality, really. When she does eventually die, she will become a goddess like her ancestors Inazuma and Bennu (goddess of lightning and the phoenix god). But she will no longer fight-she will go to the realm of the gods. So no, she cannot die, come back as a goddess and god-mode the enemy into dust. Not going to happen.
Personality Glimpse: Houou is a serious person overall, taking her studies, training, and mission seriously. She always does her best, and strives to be the best. However, she does not have much of a sense of humor, and is not very confident. She is very loyal, caring, and emotionally sensitive, but she does have a tendency to be blunt, brutally honest. She will protect her friends and family with her life, and will sacrifice her life for them if she has to. She worries much about the people she cares about, but sometimes doubts that she is loved in return. When she feels something, she feels it strongly. She is shy, but once you get to know her, she will eventually trust you. But it takes years to fully gain her trust. She is an intelligent person who thinks a lot, and sometimes too much. She values strategy and precision in battle.
History: Houou was trained to be a Senshi from a young age, much like Chibiusa/Rini was. Her father insisted on it, actually. So she was taught abilities such as martial arts, spiritual awareness, and the like. However, unlike Chibiusa, she did not transform at a young age. Like Hotaru, she was able to use certain abilities, such as her healing, without transforming. Most of her power remained dormant until age 14. Most thought that, like her mother, she would use the phrase "Jupiter Power! Make Up!" to transform, but this did not work, nor did the henshin stick (transformation pen) that Luna provided. But Houou instinctively knew the correct phrase she had to use, and thus was born Sailor Phoenix, in a whirlwind of fire, lightning, and rose petals.
Shortly afterwards, she developed the chest pains. No doctor could help. Not even the genius scientist Washu had the answer. But it was suspected that the crystal inside of her was the cause. Only when the First and Second Talismans awakened and arrived on Earth would everything, including her true mission, be revealed.
Mission: To keep Balance in the galaxy with her Talisman, and to restore the Tau System, especially Inarisei (its 3rd planet) to its former glory.
