Nah, it will be fine. The Olympics are coming, and the gov'nt doesn't want the bad international rep. They will either ship out all the homeless to Prince George where they will freeze to death on the streets, ship them off to the military, or taken them out back to be shot. Of course it will all be done on the QT

Hmm, compared to that, the city I'm in seems downright boring. No real gang problems or major vandalism. Sure, there's been a few instances of spraypainting under a bridge or whatever, and there was a rash of vehicle enterings (not break-ins, because the vehicles weren't locked) but overall, it's a pretty good neighborhood. Of course it's a smaller city, that probably has a lot to do with it.

@Zath - I think our judges are pussies because they're figuring out that the prison system doesn't work. On the other hand, of course doing nothing isn't going to solve anything. So, we need more effective alternatives for dealing with crime. On the homeless, didn't you know that they're reopening the Riverview mental health institution? Out of the kindness of their hearts and desire to do the right thing, of course. Though I expect that after the Olympics, the right thing to do is going to be to save the taxpayers money by shutting it down again and shoving all our unwanteds back onto the street after the guests all leave. @Isa - I have some extra mace I'd be happy to give you when you get back 3nodding
