So, like how is that done Andy? Egypteyes only told me that there is a midday option.
PostPosted: Tue May 19, 2009 10:02 pm

Well, as egypteyes tried to explain, when you do go through that door where you are taken to a portion of your homeworld. A glimpse of it...you see Selphie, Tidus, and Wakka.

Selphie is sitting on a fence like thing, Tidus is in a corner, and Wakka is by a bridge of sorts.

These three each have a question for you.

One question is:

What are you most afraid of?

Your options are:

Getting old
Losing Faith
Not being strong enough.

Another question is:

What is most important to you?

Your options are:

Friendship
Being number one
Money!

And the final question is:

What are your deepest wishes?

Your options are:

Broadening your horizons
Meeting new people
Being as strong as I can possibly be.

Well, all of these are definitely optional and I cannot say exactly what leads to what difficulty.

But, what I can tell you is that if you seriously think of the answers, you are likely going to get the difficulty you most want.

I forget, honestly, what one I chose, but I do know that these are the options.

The fear question is asked by Tidus, the what's important question is what Selphie asks you, and Wakka wants to know your deepest desires.

If your solution ends your adventure starting at Dawn, then you have the easiest difficulty level. The enemies shouldn't be so tough to kill. In KH2, the equivilant is beginner mode.

If your solution ends your adventure starting at midday as what has happened with egypteyes, then you are going to be at it at an average pace. Some enemies will be more challenging than others. In KH2, this is called the standard mode.

If your solution ends your adventure starting at dusk, then you are in proud mode and good luck to you. Those enemies will be tough no matter who you face.

Oh my goodness! So, like you could end up with what you don't want and you could be in trouble. So, I suppose that's the reason why you save your game soon after so that if you don't get what you want with the level of difficulty, you can always start a new file.

Now that is a good idea. That would mean the save point is like right after. It makes sense to do that.

Exactly. So, now, whatever you chose and want, now its time to save the game and move onward to what's next.

When you reach the top platform, you will see a door, but it cannot open. You are likely thinking, "I did all that for nothing, what a gip!"

Do not turn off your game for the excitement is only beginning. Your first real challenge begins now.

Time for boss number 1!

This boss in the tutorial is indication that after a series of mini tasks you are likely going to run into a big boss like this one is before you.

I call him Giant Shadow Sora, though he is called something else, but he comes out of your character's shadow so I am not going to take back what I say. That's the creator's fault not mine.

This guy isn't tough to kill either. Just go for his left hand and just hit it with everything you have. Make sure you use what you have learned about L-Targeting. You would have learned that at the beginning with the box and the barrell.

Do not worry about the creepers after you. Just kill them when low on health and stand a bit back when he is going to lower it. It doesn't take long, so no worries.

Once you kill him, your character wakes up because Kairi is getting you up. Thank goodness too... what a nightmare!

So... did you just help everyone with the entire tutorial, Andy?
PostPosted: Tue May 19, 2009 10:12 pm

Yes. Yes, I did. I hope it helps those new to the game.

I'm pretty sure that it did. I even got some insight on that game. Thank you so much, Andy.

Do you think that sometime soon you can help us with level 1, which is this next part after Sora wakes up?
PostPosted: Tue May 19, 2009 10:15 pm

Of course I can, but I would like comments for those this actually helped once they have tried it.

I hear that my gaian husband Raditz has played this game, but is having trouble with a world that Sora ends up going to later.

Agrabah is a tough level and that is where he is at. So, people who are reading this walkthrough stay tuned for that later on.

*sigh* I guess she left the guild. No worries, though... I think.

I did a little research into the game like you suggested, Andy, and it looks like there are many different colors of trinities.

As I was asking about before, as to the meaning behind the trinities, apparently, yes, the trinities not only give you items that you are going to need at some point, but they can also help you advance to other levels.

Take the green trinity found within the First District in Traverse town, for example. The Green trinities are called Trinity Ladder. For the Trinity Ladder, Sora, Donald and Goofy will climb upon each other's shoulders to reach something higher up. Where you find it in Traverse town, it gives you access to the Moogle hut on the second floor of the "weapons shop".

The Blue trinities are called Trinity Jump. This is the first and most common form of trinity found.

Here is a good tip for all players! When you enter Monstro, you can only do these trinities once, so when you do them, make sure you find them. Once Monstro's boss is defeated, that's it. You cannot return.

In other levels, you can return to them, but Monstro is an exception.

Red Trinities are known as the Trinity Barrage. This form will allow your team to break through tough objects like the grate that gives you access to the sewers in Traverse town for instance from the Second district behind the hotel in the alley.

Yellow trinities are known as Trinity heroes! This will allow the team to push away heavy objects. You unlock this in Mount Olympus and you move that big stone that is hiding a secret. I am not telling you what secret. You are going to have to find that out yourself.

I forget what the white trinities do, but you can use it in worlds you've already visited like in Deep Jungle, Halloween town, and Neverland. There is one in Monstro, so you should have unlocked it by then if you can help it.

Another thing that one will need to do in this game for added bonuses is to find the lost puppies. This is fun to do, but it also allows you to play the game thoroughly as Andy kindly suggested to do.

If I find out more information, I will be sure to share it. For now, please enjoy the information that I have given.

Hmm...that is very thorough information. I was wondering though, perhaps someone could explain Wonderland. I'm not stuck on it, but I want to know that after you've passed it (beat the Mad Hatter), and you can return, what other things can you unlock?

And for those who are just starting wonderland, perhaps someone could explain how that is done a bit better?

Well, I passed wonderland just recently. I do, admittedly have three more treasure chests to get, but I know when I can unlock those so no worries.

Wonderland

Sora is falling down the rabbit hole along with Donald and Goofy just like Alice. Also like Alice, they saw the white rabbit.

Following the rabbit, Sora witnesses the rodent slip through a talking door that is trying to get some sleep. Before Sora drank from the shrink me bottle, he shoves a couch out of the way, thus revealing the entrance to the Queen's Court room.

Sora witnesses a fixed trial, which he intervenes. Upon doing so, he is ordered by the Queen of hearts to find evidence of Alice's innocence. So, into the Lotus forest he goes to find the clues.

First, he meets up with Chesire Cat who tells him that there are 4 clues to find and that there's a big reward for finding them all.

Sora heads towards the red flower after defeating a bunch of heartless to find clue #1. Then, he hopped over two mushrooms to find clue #2. He then wanders over to a set of three mushrooms and into a hole in a tree where he sails down to clue #3. Heading back into the Lotus Forest, he gives the closest yellow flower a potion and then he steps on the stump where he saw Chesire.

Feeling better and hungry, he then grabs the nut on one of the tree tops and eats it. Now normal size, Sora hops over the two mushrooms again and over to the corner where the stump is now flat and into the room with the doorknob again where he lands on a faucet. Now hopping onto the ledge across from the faucet, he grabs the final clue and earns the power of ice. "If only I could freeze you, you lousy feline," he is thinking to himself.

Now the Queen is even more upset because she was proven wrong therefore, "Its off with your head!"

"Not if I have anything to say about it!" Sora retorts and takes the tower that was holding Alice captive.

When the curtain raises, low and behold, Alice is gone. Now the Queen of Hearts is on Sora's side in the sense that she wants the real culprit caught. Nobody messes with her court.

So, he went back into the Lotus forest, this time to locate the Mad Hatter aka Trickster Heartless. First, he grows big to move a boulder out of the way. Then he unlocks a few blue trinities before entering the Tea Party Garden where he sees a photo of what the Mad Hatter looked like before he became the trickster and enjoyed his Merry unbirthday party with Donald and Goofy. He wished that Riku and Kairi could be there too, but he knew the reason why he was on this journey was to find them and King Mickey eventually.

Now entering the upside down Bizarre room, Sora lights up to candles in order to lure the trickster out into the open. He goes through the latch where he finds three of the 99 missing puppies before taking a break for a few minutes.

After the break, he entered the Bizarre room and climbed up onto the table where he encounters the Trickster. He strikes the trickster from the table several times, but once landed on the floor, he had to hurry to get back onto the table to repeat the process. Eventually, the Trickster died and Sora realized that Alice was likely taken to wherever Riku and Kairi went.

When you return to Wonderland, there is a puppy chest near where the nut is get it. I forget what else there is, but there are for sure 4 more chests to get from this point.
