Retirement After a long and decorated career, one of XCW's veterans is finally going into retirement. Janelle Damone, sister to the legendary Jarel Damone, has announced her retirement after defeating the WWCW Women's champion at Hellfire. Janelle has done more than any other female competitor to grace the halls of XCW and WWCW. In XCW, she is a former women's champion, the pioneer of the Cruiser division after unifying the women's title with teh Cruiserweight title and holding the Cruiser title for over a year, and also a former tag team champion with older brother Zarel Damone. In WWCW, she was a two time women's champion and was the first woman to compete in a steel cage, hell in a cell, and ladder match, and she was also the first female Hardcore champion in the company's history. Interviewer: Janelle, after such a long and decorated career that shows no signs of slowing down, what made you decide to retire now? Janelle: No signs of slowing down? Do you actually watch our product. Look, here's the deal. Ever since I lost the Cruiser title to Trish Stratus, it's been one hell of a struggle trying to get it back. And yeah, I had the WWCW Women's title after beating BJ Dragon in a ladder match, but I came here and lost it to Mystique. Not that I'm complaining. She beat me fair and square and there's no getting around that. But it has become obvious that my career is winding down. I've already walked out of other federations, including PAW, and I walked out on top. And sure, I may not be holding a championship here, but I'm leaving with a win over the women's champion. That's good enough for me. Besides, there are other things out there to pursue besides wrestling. For now, I can leave this the newer ladies. It's time for me to join my older brother in retirement. Who knows, maybe I'll start up my own company too, or perhaps I'll just join his. You never know.

The Great One Returns Fans were in for a surprise as the Rock made his in ring return last night at Hellfire. In what was supposed to be the Cruiser champion's time in the ring, Jarel Damone sent out the new number contender for that title to make his presence known. The Chairman then announced that on Hellfire, XCW would have it's first ever set of pick your poison matches. Upon hearing this, Brandon Damone immediately gave his challenger a legendary opponent, the Rock. The Rock apparently took offense to this, saying that he didn't want his in ring return to be against a virtual nobody like Michael, and further stating that he shouldn't be placed in a match by another nobody like Brandon. While Michael was apparently too high to respond, Brandon fired back by reminding the Rock that he'd never been a world champion in XCW, while Brandon had. He then challenged the Rock to prove how tough he was in the ring, and jarel ordered the match to start.
The Rock came in very arrogant, assuming he'd just breeze through the Cruiser champion. he was in for a shock, as the Cruiser champion beat him to the punch in the early goings, and then outwrestled him as no one else has. The Great One put up an impressive effort, but unfortunately, he got cocky agian in the end, and got caught in Brandon's triangle choke, which he was forced to tap out to.

Women's Championship Retired After Hellfire, with the XCW Television title having been unified with the WWCW Hardcore title, and with the XCW Intercontinental title to be unified on Impact with the WWCW United States title, XCW Chairman, Jarel Damone, has made a shocking announcement, deciding to retire the WWCW Women's championship.Jarel: Honestly, I don't know why the hell you guys are suprised. The Women's division is suffering in federations all over the world. With my sister now retiring after a complete demolishing of the champion, I see no need to bother trying to unify the title with any of the others. After all, there are only a few divas left, namely Mystique, Christina Parks, and Trish Stratus. Unlike Vince McMahon, I will not have a women's division based around three or four women. Instead, they'll just have to join the Cruiser division and hang in there with the guys. Besides, which of the champions do you really think wants to be known as the guy that took the women's title last to unify it with theirs? This is not WWE, and I don't have Harvey Wipplemen or whatever the hell his name was on my payroll. The title is retired. It's time for the divas to prove that they're really wrestlers and can get in there with the guys. Since I know Trish was in the Cruiser division originally anyway, I'm sure there won't be a problem.

A Win for Rhamm Rhamm had an impressive yet unsuccessful debut, coming in to take the challenge of Matt Shanahan in the Pit of hell match. He lost and the following week Poison took Matt on in the same match. Rhamm got a semblance of payback, coming in to aid Poison to a victory over Matt. Matt was obviously incensed and looking for payback in tonight's fatal four way match, a match the chairman made to showcase the talent and to determine what each man would do for Wrestlemania.
Matt and Rhamm went after each other early in the match, and though seperated by their opponents kept coming back to each other. The match saw a lot of back and forth action from all four men, and several finisher attempts. The newly named number 1 contender to the Cruiser title showed off his highflying skills repeatedly, taking down all of the competitors when he did. In the end, when the dust cleared, it was Rhamm that emerged successful. Perhaps it was this win that earned him a place in Wrestlemania's Xtreme Elimination Chamber match, which the chairman has promised will make WWE's version of an Extreme elimination chamber look like even more of a joke. It should also be noted that Rhamm's newfound rival will have another chance at revenge, as he's also in the elimination chamber match.

The Champion Lights Up His Challenger Normally, when good ol' JR says something about lighting people up, he means laying into them with punches or chops. It's usually said as a metaphor. This past Sunday at Hellfire, those words took on a whole new meaning. Christian Cage walked into what was only his third match since his debut in XCW as the WWCW World Heavyweight Champion. His challenger, was a former champion, Samoa Dan, known for his more than casual use of a recreational drug, which in most promotions would eventually get people suspended. Jarel decided to bring back the match that Hellfire was named for, the Inferno match, a specialty of Kane and the Undertaker. This seemed to excite Dan, as the prospect of lighting something up always does.
The opening of the match was in the favor of the challenger, who took the fight to Christian before the ring was even lit up. Christian eventually gained control, determined to prove that he deserved the title he now wore. The match was a back and forth effort between the two until, like all inferno matches before it, it spilled to the outside. It was Dan who tossed Christian out first, tossing him out by the announcer's table. This would prove to be the challenger's undoing, as when he went diving out after him, he wound up crashing into the announcer's table. The ever resilient and opportunistic Christian capitalized, staggering Dan towards the ring and dropkicking him into the flames, giving him a victory in a match that he went into as an underdog. Like him or not, Christian Cage has silenced the naysayers yet again, having retained the WWCW World Heavyweight title against a much larger challenger in one of the most dangerous matches in existence. Now he has to turn back the challenge of the man he beat for the title if he wants to go on to Wrestlemania as the champion.

Betrayal The main event of the evening was an eight man tag match pitting XCW vs WWCW. Team XCW consisted of the XCW Tag champions Zarel Damone and Cartwright, and their unlikely partners, the Brothers of Destruction. Team WWCW consisted of former WWCW tag team champions, Damien and Snypa, as well as Jed and Shawn Michaels, who are actually former tag team champions back in ACW. Going into the match, the Undertaker made it clear that anyone that got in his way at Hellfire was an enemy and would be laid to rest. Last week, he inserted himself into everyone else's match, swaying the outcome each time he did so.
The Undertaker started off the match against Shawn Michaels, easily overpowering his fellow legend before tagging in his brother. Shawn Michaels has always been known for his resiliency, and he managed to fight back. When he went to tag in Damien, however, Damien and Snypa left the ring apron, seemingly wanting nothing to do with this Invasion anymore. This was just the first in a series of turns in the match. Jed tagged himself in to get some of Kane, his Wrestlemania opponent. Snypa would make a small effort to return to the match, an effort that backfired as he tried to set the Phenom on fire and was chased off when the Undertaker kicked the torch out of his hand. This distraction left an opening, as the Undisputed champion stepped into the ring and nailed Kane with his falling powerbomb finisher. the Undertaker, seeing his brother in trouble, stepped into the ring only to be brought down with a Cartwright crash. Zarel threw jed on the cover and he and Cartwright left the rign, handing team WWCW the victory.
The Brothers of Destruction sat up, furious that Zarel and Cartwright were petty enough to stab them in the back. But with the tag champions retreating from the ring, there were only two people left to take out their frustrations, one of whom was unfortunately still in the ring. The Undertaker and Kane got up and delivered a double chokeslam to Jed, whose only remaining tag team partner, Shawn Michaels, walked out on him. The fans booed loudly at the tag champions, getting fed up with their underhanded tactics. the Undertaker and Kane merely glared up the ramp at them, still fuming. This doesn't bode well for the champions, who must defend their tag team titles against the Brothers of Destruction on this week's Impact in a no disqualification match.
