[OCC] I'll be role playing as Kalita, the lovely little female Espeon in my signature. Anyone who wants to join us in this rp is more than welcome to pop in whenever he/she wishes to do so. =)
A small feminine figure wandered through the half-darkness of a grassy field strewn with the golden and purple hues of a twilight sky, carefully picking her way through the area to avoid hurting herself on any rocks or other unforeseen objects that could cause her harm. She had a light purple body marked with blue in various places, and a small blue jewel rested in the center of her forehead, glowing brightly when it captured the last rays of sunlight. A chibi wing marking was upon each of her shoulders, symbolic of her desire to have wings of her own with which she could explore the endless horizon, forever sailing through the crisp air of the lower levels of the atmosphere, perhaps flitting through the clouds that would inadvertently mar her path. Her eyes were a deep blue with black "whites" that made her seem a little intimidating upon first encounter. In reality, however, she was quite sweet, although a little forceful when she was motivated to accomplish something.
Coming to a ridge that overlooked the wide expanse of ocean beneath her, she sat down on her haunches, sighing contentedly at the beautiful sight. Her eyes were dreamily wide and soft as she watched the sun sink below the horizon and the skies darken with the coming of night. She couldn't have found a better place to observe the wonders of nature.

((Mind if I join in with Styx?))An orange male namir walked through a field, seemingly following another namir. He looked almost like a pumpkin and each of his his steps were fluid and seemed to have purpose.
He stopped as she did, gazing out into the distance. "Beautiful, isn't it?" he said in a soft, kind voice. He smiled, waiting for her to notice him.

[OCC] Sounds good to me. I was a little afraid that I'd scared everyone off with my long first post. xD
Startled out of her reverie by the sudden, unexpected voice, the female turned around quickly. Meeting the eyes of the male Namir hesitantly, a blush born out of shyness crossed over her facial features. "Indeed it is. Nature never ceases to amaze me with all of its beautiful sights. One only has to 'stop and smell the roses' as the saying goes in order to realize how truly wondrous our lives are here."
She offered a slight smile after saying this, realizing how silly she might sound even though her words were completely sincere. Deciding to change the topic, she gazed at the male curiously. "What brings you to this place, if I may ask? I'm usually alone during this hour."

Styx nodded. "How true." Sadly, too many people ignore the beauty that can be found in nature. He was glad that this girl was able to see how wonderful nature can be. "Curiosity, I suppose. You see, I noticed you were all alone and I thought to myself, 'now where could a girl like that be going?' My name is Styx, by the way." He was still smiling, trying to sound as friendly as possible. He didn't want to disrupt the peacefulness of this meeting.

"Kalita," she announced with a sweep of her right arm upwards until it was in front of her face and a slight bow. "Pleased to make your acquaintance." She relaxed back into her previously assumed position but was a little more alert of everything that was happening around her than she had been before. Styx seemed nice enough, but she thought that it was somewhat odd for him to follow her on a whim. This wasn't the dangerous city that her human took her to on occasion, but it was still good practice to remain cautious in general. One could never be too certain that everything in the future would happen as he/she expected it to. Murphy's Law tended to ring unquestionably true in that sort of scenario.
"So, what do you plan on doing now that we have been formally introduced?" she asked, turning her attention away from her thoughts and flashing the male a mischievous grin. She hadn't really had a plan for the rest of the night herself, and it would be interesting to see what he had in mind. Even if he was just as clueless as she was, it was amusing to put other people in the spotlight all of a sudden.

"Oh." The question caught Styx by surprise. He hadn't thought of what to do for the rest of the night, but he didn't want to look silly so he calmly gave her the reply. "I thought we could wait and see how events play out, see what conversation leads us where. Unless you had something else in mind?" His eyes were gazing around at their surroundings, not just at Kalita. He was alert for anything that could disrupt this meeting.

((I hope you don't mind if I join in. ^^; )) The little Eevee namir wandered through the grassy field, upset at the sinking sun. He had been outside all day, just romping and playing around. Now that nighttime was near, he was trying to get back home. But he was still fairly new in the area, not to mention careless, so he had no idea in which direction to wander in. He told himself that he should've kept track as to where he was going and where he came from to prevent such a situation. Oran doubted that he'll ever find his way before dark.
Ignoring his somewhat sore paw pads, he spotted two figures in the distance and wondered if they could help. Approaching them with small timid steps, he didn't want to disturb their apparent conversation.

[OCC] Not at all. The more, the merrier! ^^
"I guess that's as good of an idea as any other," Kalita laughed, starting to warm up to him a little. "I didn't really have anything in mind for the evening, either. I was content to see where my instincts lead me to later on."
Styx's constant observance of the field made her a little nervous, but she didn't think too much of it. That kind of thing could easily be attributed to the same type of alertness that she had, which was purely a healthy reaction to the setting of the sun. The creatures of the night that sometimes prowled around were formidable foes, and it was best not let one of them catch you off guard.
Her ears pricked up at the sound of soft footsteps approaching them. Turning her head swiftly to see what the source was, she was relieved to see only another creature like themselves. "Hello, there!" she called, raising a paw to wave to the newcomer in greeting.

((Yay, another person! : D ))
Styx had only just met Kalita and already he decided that he liked her. She reminded him much of himself.
His constant watch made him notice another young namir. "Hello," he said in a gentle voice, not wanting to frighten it. He observed what he thought to be a troubled look on the namir, so he asked, "Is something wrong?"

Oran blinked, a bit startled by the greetings. Spending much time alone made him a bit twitchy to voices after all. He stopped a small distance away from the two, still not certian whether they were friendly or not.
"Um. Hi. I'm sort of lost... and I... uh..."
What he was suppose to say? That he didn't know where home was? That he didn't want to search for it in the dark because he was scared of it? Sighing, he didn't want to admit that just yet.
"Yeah. I'm lost."

"You're lost?" Kalita asked skeptically, raising an eyebrow. After examining the other Namir for a few moments, she had concluded that he was probably around the same age as herself. Her own skills were developed enough so that, except in extreme situations where the input from her senses had been, for whatever reason, cut off prior to her arrival at her current location, she could almost always find her way to the place she desired to be at, especially if that place was home. If her memory failed her, local scents and sights could help to fill in the blanks. She considered herself to be fairly average in that regard, but seeing as she had been proven wrong before, she didn't judge the other Namir too harshly. It was quite rude to assume things before realizing the true depth of any situation, after all.
Changing her look of disbelief to one of helpfulness instead, she smiled. "I'm sorry to hear that. Is there anything that I can do to help?"

"Oh no, that's not good." Styx thought there might be more to it than just a lost namir, but he didn't press further. It would be rude to pry. Instead, he decided he would try to help the namir. "May I help, too?"
