LOLcat - Monorail Cat halo: Kind of cool.
Longcat Scarf: Cute and different.
FAQ hat: Lame
Epic Fail Hat: Funny
omnomnom Hat: Funny
YHBT hat: I like this one a lot.
YARLY! Hat: I love this one!
TLDR hat (1a): Very cute.

I also think they released these to get away from all the 13itching the GCD was doing about the Lack of an Easter event.

the hats arent my style at all. but its cool to who ever likes them.

im just ingoring it like the MTV shop.

and i think your right with the whole "shiny" thing.

the hats... I think I'll buy one when they drop to basically nothing in the next month or two, like all the cash shop items seem to do

I like several of the hats and may buy some before they drop to rock bottom just because I want one.

I HATE that it's another "See how nice we are? We let you give us money!" kind of event.

I think long term it's going to be an inflationary force because it's basically encouraging people to turn real life cash into gold (the exchange rate from cash to gold on most of the hats is insanely hight right now), which increases the gold supply which devalues the gold and makes prices rise.
