anyone know what is up with the bunny and hiding eggs?
anyone want to guess?

I read somewhere that the bunny and the eggs idea came from an old pagan holiday that held fertility celebrations. Supposedly, early Catholics tried to Christianize the celebration by changing it, but I don't think that's true.
If anything, it's possible that non-Christian groups wanted to secularize the holiday.
"Eggs, rabbits and hares are fertility symbols of extreme antiquity. Since birds lay eggs and rabbits and hares give birth to large litters in the early spring, these became symbols of the rising fertility of the earth at the Vernal Equinox."~ Grande es mi poderoso Dios, El reina con poder
