My favorites for each group are:
Soft: "Harder to Breathe" Maroon 5
Punk: "Over my Head" Sum 41
Alternative: "Move Along" All-American Rejects
That's just my opinion. If you don't like any of 'em, you don't have to play 'em. =)

uhhh dude, green day is alternitve not punk-rock, at least the better stuff anyway. on Amereican Idiot album they tryed to be a ''punk-rock'' band, but there older stuff from Nimrod,Dookie,Kerplunk,Insominic,1000 smothed out slappy hours,warning,etc is WAY better . The american idiot album was not to good...

Green Day's old stuff WAS punk-rock!!! their new stuff was the bullshit alternative stuff that they should have never have done! i only like a few of their new songs... their old PUNK stuff was waaay better!
