Say Gaia is American.
Say America is Christian.
They preach equality and tolerance.
But every Christian holiday they do some Gaia awareness.
What about Jewish holidays?
Why do we get nothing from Gaia?
Why not on Chanukkah to get a menorah or a dreidel.
Why not on Passover to get an afikomen?
I say this seems one sided.

It's cultural more than anything.

I mean puzzle pirates does the same thing.

Doesn't mean they're anti-semetic

I don't think he's saying they're anti-Jewish just because they don't do Jewish holidays, I just think he's saying it's unfair. It's understandable for Jews to not want Christian holidays to be shoved in their faces, but we are largely out numbered. Considering the Jewish population on Gaia is probably the smallest, I'm sure to them it seems like a waste of time. Not only that, but then the tables would be turned and Gentiles would be having Jewish holidays flaunted about.

My advice is just to ignore it. Celebrate Jewish holidays with us! Who needs silly items that are actually quite pointless to put on their avitar for a few days?

I agree- I'd rather celebrate holidays with meaning than have a commercialized Gaian one. Majority rule while protecting minority rights, I guess.

Let the silly people celebrate their made-up-to-replace-Jewish-and-Pagan-holidays holiday. We can sit back and celebrate our holidays with the knowledge that they weren't created to seduce people into converting by sending the message "everything's the same as before".

I'm kind of okay with having their holidays cheapened, commercialized, and made tacky by overexposure, instead of having that happen to ours.

I guess you guys are right...
I just would love to see some Jewish items on the list instead of the Pagan *achem* I mean Christian ones.
Not like we have a say.

To add to the topic; I don't think Muslims get any items either, nor Buddhists, or Hindus, or Discordians, or any other religion.

Let me back up and say that I could wish that Christianity were also not being commercialized and cheapened, but it isn't my place to stand against that, lest I be taken for a Christian.

I suggest a write-in campaign or petition in which we ask Gaia for Gaia-centric holidays instead of Christian ones -- both because we're not Christian ourselves and don't want to participate, and because we respect the beliefs of others enough that we don't want to see them reduced to nothing but an opportunity for loot.
