English summer rain seems to last for ages.

No, it lasts 2 seconds!
I walk past the local beck on my way home from school and it just happens to burst it's banks for the first time in History as I'm walking past last summer. So then I have to make this huge detour and walk through a burst drain.
It takes me about 20 minutes to walk home. I step out of school and suddenly a black cloud comes over and starts chucking it down. As soon as I'm home and I've stepped inside it stops and goes all sunny again.
And while we're talking about bloody English weather, we can't get a white christmas can we? But we keep on getting white Easters! Seriously, I woke up yesterday morning and everything was covered. It started snowing this morning as well, but now it's stopped and gone all sunny again.
