Pet : Male Smoke Kitten, Mango, with orange eyes. Smoke cats look solid black until they move and their white undercoat is revealed. This beautiful trait transfixes Kani and therefore it isn't uncommon for her to be caught admiring her handsome kitten with an adoring smile. And oh how she adores him. He's a perfect gentleman; always waiting for Kanita to wake up before licking her face clean, following faithfully behind her when they travel Hogwarts together and being her constant companion.
Family :
Father- William Doyle, 39, works abroad in Magical Creatures Affairs and is lead manager in the Ministry Magical Creatures Department, but still very family oriented. Due to his long hours of work at the Ministry, Will bought a cozy home in England and moved his family there. They keep their Hawaiian home for a summer house that is put to good use every vacation. William has broad shoulders, Kani's favorite sitting spot as child, and a rather large nose. That very nose that he uses to bear kiss his children before tucking them in for the night. Mister Doyle has a deep laugh that his children often tease him for, as it sounds quite like Santa's chuckle, but it is all in good humour.
Mother- Nisa Doyle, 40, owns a small, summer pastry shop that is very popular in the Hawaiian islands. Unlucky in love until she met her 3rd husband, Will, the couple couldn't be happier. Often still acting as newly weds, even after years of marriage, and sometimes causing embarrassment for their children. Only because, 'Ew, moooom, daaad!' Nisa has a love of books, cooking, baking, and shopping. All of which she passed down to her daughters. She's a very petite woman with great taste and style. Most often, this mother is found in a dirtied apron when busy with work, but fashionable clothes outside the kitchen.
(3) Older sisters- one successful, one.. not so much.
Crystal, 25, already married and pregnant. Works for The Quibbler as head editor, but recently taking time off as she's in her 7th month. As the oldest, you'd expect her to be the most responsible, and she is in her own quirky way. She can give the wisest advice one moment, and then be adorably childish the next. And though Crystal blames this on her pregnant, crazy hormones, the whole family knows she has been this way since a child. And love it.
Pam, 23, Delivers mail to the Gringotts Bank workers. She leads a hectic, single life. Doesn't date, in fact, has never had a boyfriend since she graduated from Hogwarts. This girl is too focused on climbing the ladder of success and doesn't realise she's missing out on having a LIFE. With many aspirations, it's hard to get Pam to slow down. When she does though, her sarcastically comical side is revealed.
Kim, 19, Works at a daycare center for both muggle and magical children. Her love for kids is endless and there couldn't be a mean bone in this witch's body. Actually, anything small is favored by Kim. Animals, trinkets, kids, dolls and creatures. If she can pick it up with her own two hand, she'll shower it with love and hugs. Currently in a very serious relationship, she hops her boyfriend will pop the question soon.
Younger brother-
Salvator Doyle, 10, excited to start Hogwarts next year. Looks up to his sisters and out for them. But is often a trouble maker when older, authoritative figures aren't around. More than once he was caught fighting and proven to be the one who started it. No one knows the reason for his sudden aggressions, because he really is a sweet boy at heart. Eventually, Salv will be diagnosed as having the dissociative identity disorder. Which, in essence, means having multiple personalities.
House Elf- Mimmy, female, a strict but caring nanny. Mimmy has been with the Doyles all her life. She is considered part of the family, and has a nice, yet small, room of her own. This particular House elf has a lover, whom is a female like herself. The Doyle's accepted Mimmy's lovelife with ease and opened their arms to her partner. Who now resides in a room connected to Mimmy's own.
Mimmy's lover- Gracie, female, completely full of energy and always smiling. She is the sweetest creature one could ever hope to meet and enjoys scrapbooking. It isn't just a hobby for Gracie, it's an obsession. Nearly every moment of the families life is captured by this little elf. Sometimes even appearing without warning with a chunky, old-styled camera in her grasp.
Diving deeper : Kanita Doyle, called Kani by her close friends, lives to learn and discover. Whether by reading books, writing, experimenting, and even occasionally eavesdropping. Although Kani excels in academics, that isn't the only subject she wishes to expand upon. She is quick to try anything new, no matter how daring, which is why her friends thought her to be a Gryffindor, brave. But her drive for knowledge over rides all her other senses. Thus placing her in Ravenclaw.
That same drive that can be so educational and good has a down side. Kani sometimes gets pushy. She doesn't realise when she ignores other's feelings or wants because her focus is so set on her own. So when she steps out of line, as she often does, it takes her friends to talk some common sense into her. Makes her realise that jumping off the Astronomy Tower just to see if her makeshift wings were properly constructed might NOT be such a good idea. On days that Kanita is particularly stubborn though, and doesn't wish to back away from a challenge that someone is insisting she doesn't take, a heated spat ensues. Words fly, feelings get trampled and sometimes even bruises are given. Sometimes the people involved in the fight remain friends, sometimes they drift away. And while it makes her sad, Kanita moves on with life. Always in search for her next big high.

Taking a closer look: Kani took a deep breath of the salty, ocean air. Her arms protested as they continued to cut through the waves, dragging herself and her surf board farther out to sea. Barely, Kani remembered her mother warning her to stay out of the sea today. That their would be a storm. But the beautiful sound of waves crashing on the shore sent shivers of anticipation down her spine. She couldn't help herself, the pull of testing her body against the odds of raging waves, was too tempting. And despite her anxious friends attempts to stop her, Kani was now balancing on the crest of a wave. Sea foam spraying, wind whipping her hair back, for one glorious moment Kani felt she was flying. Then her board sky dived and her triumphant shouts echoed to her friends' ears, all of them breathing a sigh of relief.
