These are a set of rules on battling ettiquette that sometimes may seem obvious, but are often times forgotten.
- Godmoding
godmoding is when you attack, kill, hurt, or do anything that affects another character without their consent. An example of this would be to say in your post "I reached out with my dagger and slashed the theives throat. Watching as he slowly bled to death. Once he stopped moving I picked his pockets and walked away." If it was someone you made up you may go right ahead and kill them. But if it was another person that would be godmoding. It's rude and annoying. Please don't do it.
Auto-hitting
it's another form of godmoding. It's when you automatically "hit" another character without giving them a chance to dodge. An example of this would be "He approuched, a hungry look in his eyes. Thinking of the coming attack I decided to act first and landed a punch in his gut." She didn't give him a chance to dodge, it's also irratating.
Cybering
Cybering is another name for online sex. No one wants to read you smacking lips with someone else. If it's a hug or a kiss on the cheek? Fine. But no one wants to read any other forms of contact. It's disturbing, so please be conciderate.
Auto-dodging
like auto-hitting it's when you automatically dodge something, in this case it's everything coming at you. There are NO immortals in this roleplay. If there are vampires or something they can still get hurt, they just won't die as easily. You must take hits, it's unfair to not even have a bruise if the other character is bleeding.
Posts
Things can get boring really fast if you only post a sentence, plus things don't go very fast. So we request you at least try for three sentences minimum. We don't want to read more than two paragraphs either. Details are good. But too many can be overwhelming.
Literacy
We try to be semi-literate. So please talk, or try to talk in either 3rd or 1st person and not to use parenthesis (()) or astrises ** to form actions. It's easier to read posts like a book, so use quotation marks please.
Location
We can NOT stress this enough. Even though there may be ten or more threads to post in, your character can only be in one place at a time! You cannot be roleplaying as a knight for the earth kingdom in the castle while at the same time fighting some beast out in the arenas. One person, one place, just life in real life. If you are switching locations we ask that you make it clear in your post. You don't have to put ((leaving to go to tavern)) but please don't describe the tavern before you get there. A simple "So she left, headed in the direction of the tavern" or "finished polishing his armor, he headed towards the arena."
Original Characters
DO NOt use copyrighted characters. You can use images that you havn't made yourself, but make-up a description and name for your character that's original. No one wants to see someone from a videogame or manga/anime, they have their own oppinions of that character, and you might be ruining them.
