I bought a plain white belt to draw on. It's synthetic, looks like leather. What should I draw on this with? How do I seal it?

0.o Craft stores such as Michael's sell fabric markers, but I don't know how well they'd work on your surface. Permanent markers would stain the material, is that correct? Are you looking at creating linework/block patterning or actual value rendering?
You might also try reposting in the Textiles sub-forum, they helped me out before.

Leather paint?
Paint pens?
And I'm looking at creating linework with block colors, really.

Painting with butterflies? I don't know, I'd have to acquire butterflies and I don't think I have that power.

also i neglected to mention, if your belt is a smooth or patent leather-esque finish, you might want to prime it beforehand with some light sanding, just to help the paint adhere better. if its a textured leather though you can probably get away with not priming it
im trying to think of something good to seal it with... maybe like a varnish of some kind? since belts are flexed and pulled through belt loops and curved youd definetely want to use something to prolong the life of it... wish i had more experience with belts, usually i just draw on the cloth ones with sharpies xD
