I like the Les Paul, but the finish is pretty crappy on that guitar.

The more "regular"

and some kind of custom shop one, having three different types of 1 guitar is the most ridiculous thing I have heard ever

Not really. How many different types of the Les Paul do they have anyways? It's the same thing with different equipment, right? Well same way here.
They did it so that they could market the guitar to a more widespread audience. They look like sin, but they do have some decent hardware for the price. (not to mention the cool slash swag that comes with them.)

Gazlowe is just one of those purist types. He seems to me like if you don't have a certain sound and exact playing style, "You suck."

Atleast that's the impression i've always gotten from him.
Alot of metal heads are that way too. If you don't play at over 170bpm in every song for every second ever, they won't even bother to listen and try to groove.

i think the new slash models are pretty badass. les pauls are kind of generic, but i love slash's playing style and tone.

I'm not digging it. It's not that good, and you have to fork out a load of cash because it's got some overrated guitar players name on it. I feel this way about most signature models, but especially anything to do with Slash.

For one, he's incredibly overrated...

Sorry, I have a friend who's obsessed with him...He's not the greatest guitarist ever, people. He's not even close.
