I really want to know if the series will continue after the movie because it kinda leaves you hanging..... spoiler for those who have not seen the film: Like when Ed and Al started a new life in our world, what happens now??

I suggest you to read the manga. when the anime series was produced, the manga was only in volume 6 or 7, so everything from Hughes' death up to the movie was made up. plus, Hiromu Arakawa herself said the ending of the anime/movie has nothing to do with the one she's planning for FMA - yay! X3 [not that I don't like the anime, but the end was too revolting! :<]

well, it was rather disturbing, but I thought that it was an excellent representation of a just before the war Germany, the entire Anime felt like a representation of the threat they faced at the time. their government is taking over seruptitiously, and the major minority is starting to be round up into small concentration camps, while this was not her idea, it does fit with this rather odd parallel dimension.
