First thing I have to say is I hope I am not posting this in the wrong section. There are so many sections that it confuses me greatly.

So... this is going to be my first time ordering from Baby, and I am having a trouble on what to choose. I was wondering if you ladies (and guys) would be able to give your opinions on what you like and don't like. So, here are the outfits! And tell me what colors you like too, if you want.

1. I don't know if I should buy a one piece...

I want to buy this blouse, and match it up with any of these:

And a general question, do you believe that Baby, the Stars Shine Bright put combs on the bottom of there top hats?

Thank you, I seem to ask a lot.

Hmm, you shouldn't start out getting an OP, since you know, it's really hard to coordinate with. Blouse +skirt is the easiest, since you can just mix and match nice tees/cutsews/cardigans. JSKs are kind of hard because if you coordinate with a cardigan or something, HUEG bow in the front/side/where ever might make it feel weird, not to mention squish up a bit.

And yeah, usually BTSSB have combs on their hats. :3 You might want to e-mail them to be sure, though.

I agree with Amanikitty but I think the blouse would look really cute with the first jumper. I guess what it all really comes down to is what you personally like. I hope my comment was at least a little helpful!

I personally like JSKs a lot more than I do skirts, but I cannot deny that skirts are far more "functional" in lolita for when you're starting out. They pair well with t-shirts, cutsews, sweaters, turtlenecks, blouses and tank tops all. JSKs are a bit harder, since they generally only look appropriate with blouses or relatively fancy cutsews under them. They also only rarely do well with other garments being layered over them [it normally looks very bulky].

I don't generally care for the blouse-less look for JSKs unless they're the very thin-strapped summer dresses like Victorian Maiden often releases in spring, either, though I know many lolitas in warmer climates wear them that way on occasion.

So I agree with what has been said so far: start with a skirt and blouse and work from there. That way, you can wear the skirt in many different ways.
