My favorite would be Tales of Symphonia. Tales of Abyss is a close second though. I have Phantasia, but I never finished it.

I don't know if this would count, but Legend of Zelda. ( I don't know what a tales game is)

Well those are a series, the ones I can think of right know are Taes of Symphonia, Tales of Phantasia and Tales of Abyss...
