Anyone got any idea how I could go about getting a girlfriend? I'm 15 and I've never dated anyone before, even though I've wanted to so badly..
I'm not hiding the fact that I'm gay, I'll tell people if they ask, and loads of people know about that anyway now. The only people I'm not out to are my family because they're some of the most intolerant people I know.
I don't know any girls who are gay or bi at all..
I go to a small school and no one there's gay or bi, and most people are pretty homophobic too.
I'm really shy and don't talk to anyone outside of school, and don't have any good friends anyway, so it's really hard for me to meet new people.
Oh, and I'm totally not willing to have an online relationship.
And is it just me who seems to notice that gay/bi girls who I've spoke to online had relationships and experiences with girls from a young age.
I even know loads of straight girls my age who've kissed girls before.

If you can't find any girls at your school, try in your town. For instance, the movies and the mall are great places to meet people your age. I really can't speak from experience because I've never been in the same situation. I went to a large high school (2,000+ students) so I had no problem finding a girlfriend. But, any place designed for teenagers to hang out is a great place to meet people. Also, try joining clubs at school especially competitive clubs such as academic teams, orchestra or band, etc., as you can meet people from other schools during competitions. Also, try going to sporting events, you can meet people from other schools there as well.

Lawl, i'm in the same situation as you at the moment, thought i'm content with being single for the time being. Nothing wrong with being single. You should try out of school activities like sport (soccer XP) or something. Or just get to know heaps of people in general, I've met a lot of gay/bi people through friends of a friend. The more you socialize the more you know i guess. And don't rule out the internet, i met my last gf on the net and she was very decent. Lived 3-4 hours away so it wasn't an internet relationship, more so a long distance relationship.

you shouldn't rule out the internet. my gay friend has a boyfriend he met online and they talk on the webcam and stuff all the time! i almost got into one, but she stopped going online. anyways, nothin wrong with it. but i guess it would be better to meet a girl in person. the only thing i could think of is to do like everyone else suggests and try finding another closet case. ya never know that everyone is straight. my friend came out to me and i thought she was totally straight.
anyways, if nothing else, just wait 3 years til you leave and get the heck outta there! you don't need one right now. you can stick to activities to keep your mind off of it. just move out when your old enough and you'll meet someone. sometimes it just takes a change of scenery, and when your young, change in place takes time.

My advise to you, Thorndrop, just stop looking. That's what I did and a couple of weeks later after I accepted the fact that I may be single for a long time...I go a phone call. That phone call told me aof a girl "like me". I met that girl "like me" and we've been together 7 months now.
Patience is a virtue. Wait...
