Jamie Gallows is the parent that Adilene spends most of her time with. Adilene adores Jamie's company and takes advantage of how much care and love Jamie offers her.

In truth, Adilene does not know her own father very well. Nicolas keeps himself busy with other chores and rarely sets aside time with Adi. Because of this, Adilene often becomes frightened by Nicolas.

The captain of the ship is reluctant about children on board, but treats them as the little joys they are. When given the opportunity by Jamie and hidden from the crew, Aiden spoils Adi. Adi has come to recognise Aiden with things shiney and jingly.
