So it all started with this stupid drawing i did for a thread layout in the Avatar Talk which i continue to recycle and abuse mercilessly.

I thought I would try to make something vaguely decent out of it's latest incarnation, and as usual, i'm at a loss for what to do with that empty field of space behind her.

honestly? dont do anything. the background texture is intricate and interesting enough that it gives a nice contrasting "empty space" look without being boring

i think you should fill in the clouds, they're looking really flat and not v. dynamic

oh! that's an idea i had too..i was wondering if i should pick another pattern to do em in, or somefin.

I concur. Like, continuing the cloud pattern from the tattoos, but in a fainter or lower-contrast kind of way, or in a cool colour to make the figure pop. Yuh. 3nodding

As to Fists question about the pose. Well, it reminds me of San (In Mononoke Hime) when she's staring at Ashitaka after sucking the blood out of Moro, The wolf Goddess.

Like in this picture. I know in Page's picture the pose leaves me questioning why her expression is like that. Almost like she was in the middle of doing something and caught someone watching her and so starts to rise still watching that person. Of course, I could also be over analyzing it as well lol.

well, like i said, the lineart's been recycled a number of times, but i liked the pose for this incarnation because to me, it seemed like she was in transition from some sort of animalistic crouch to standing upright.

i'll try and post an update soon, i haven't had time to work on it D:

but you guys have definately made me want to work on it more, i had no idea anyone would be that interested by it XD
