Nitro made his way quickly away from the river, having had a new run-in with his 'uncle' Hades and narrowly avoiding The alpha that was sure to have killed him if she was given the chance. But now what to do?

Melany stalked the lands, her head held high and her step that of a much older lion. To say she looked and possibly acted like the Goddess's gift to lion-kind might of been putting it lightly, but she wasn't stupid enough not to realize she couldn't also be easily picked off for a nice snack by a passing predator. Still, she didn't care, and so off adventuring she went...'sides she heard her cousin was wanting to start a pride of her own and she was curious to find out more about it.

Within a few moments, he was in plain view of where the jungle transitioned into in plains. his mother and family were nowhere near...they were too busy trying to find someplace to settle down with Master Sera. He liked her alot, even though she was kinda scary...Stopping suddenly, he lifted his nose up and inhaled, then let out a small screech like his mother always seemed to do when she was agitated.

Melany instantly went to ground and crouched still as a rock soon as she heard the screech. She'd been told there were some birds that were not adverse to picking off a cub or two if they came into view, and so for a moment she waited, looking up only to see if any birds circled the skies. However, seeing none, she decided it was safe enough and wanted to investigage...sides, it seemed to have come from nearer the ground that up in the air.
Cocking her head, she took a few steps forward and called, "Who's there?"

Looking around, then hearing the voice, he decided to answer rather than hide. "I am here..." he said with a slight snarl. But it wasn't threatening...it was habit.

Melany smirked when she heard the voice and bounded through the grass, making as much noise as possible. Whoever it was hadn't sounded much older than she was, and as she finally jumped over the last little bunch of grass she found she'd been right. "Woah...bright colors! Was it you that made that weird noise?" It would be easy for Nitro to tell she was a relation to Sera by her eye markings alone, if not the princess-y attitude they both shared.

He looked at her curiously, before he had a revalation; She was like Master Sera. "Yes, I am the one who made the noise...I'm...Nitro Talon." He answered her quickly. "And you are...?"

Melany raised her head and puffed out her chest proudly. "Melany...Princess Melany of the Heights of Hell Pride. I'm on my way to see my cousin Sera, heard she's got a good thing going on and I wanna check it out. Yah know her?"
