so i got a call around lunch time today from the assistant director of housing. the one who teaches my leadership class and everything. he told me that i am one of the stronger candidates for teh r.a. position, but they were concerned about me going to london. it's a year long job and don't want to hire someone who will leave at the semester. i told him that if i hired, i would most likely take the job and not go to london next year (although, if i did go to london, they would hire me the year after so 09-10 i guess). and this way, doing it next year, i could save up a huge chunk of money for london (they pay for your dorms when you r.a.)
nothing definite yet, but i'm thinking i got the job. of course, i don't want to jinx it. i'm all excited now, and it would really suck if i ended up not getting it. but i'm keeping my fingers crossed! and it's just nice to hear that i am being seriously considered!
