The girl I liked at school turns out to be a lesbian, and now I'm in a rut. Anyone have any song titles I should play while I stay depressed?

Freedom Suite by Sonny Rollins

sad harsh.

strange fruit, billy holiday. I go for non jazz when I'm sad, actually- Jann Arden, Sarah Maclachlan.

And once I get past the sad stage I go angry. So when you've got to that point, ask again and I'll recommend some good metal.

Pick up the Branford Marsallis Quartet cd "Eternal." A beautiful CD in general.

strange fruit, billy holiday.

That has to be one of the saddest songs I have ever heard...

...Billy would only perform Strange Fruit as the last song of the set/night, as it made her cry whenever she sang it. Any song about a young man being lynched can't be that happy.

Man oh man was that a sad song Strange Fruit is quite haunting and Billy Holiday sang it true to every last note.
