It had been several weeks since he had seen Yi last. Though most of the time he had been avoiding her on purpose to practice his new personality change. He never really thought that he would turn around like that because of one little mare who had pushed him over the deep-end. Though she had insulted both him and his species by saying that she would take him on as a slave rather than her own personal mate. That had made his blood boil quicker than one of Yi’s teaching sessions which normally took several hours to do rather than a mere minute or two.
Stomping a hoof on the red-brown dirt that surrounded the entrance of Yi’s cave, he had expected her to arrive back there. He was finally ready to show her the new Tahmores and give her a better impression of himself. His posture was better than what it had been for the past months he had been in her care. He just hoped that she hadn’t given up on him and the hopes of turning him into the perfect mate for herself.
Slowly, he gazed up into the sky, his posture slightly relaxed but at the same time firm and slightly stiff, his wings tucked gently by his sides and his ears pricked up and alert.

Yi headed back towards her personal quarters with ease. She was...well calmer then she had been a while back. But she was still restless, the stress catching up on things taking their toll. She began to relax as she abcent mindedly desended towards her haven. A place no other rotten herd member with a little problem, or some random begger would find her. Only her and Irada, her faithful and elegant slave. And...he...well he had been here before, but she did not expect him back. She figured he'd kill himself before he managed to change. how surprised she was to find the "he" she was thinking of was standing below her. She slowly lowered to the ground, unsure if she was seeing right. Automaticlly she took on a defencive adittude. "WHat are you doing here? Do you have permission to be trotting about my personal quarters? I thought you gave up and ran off to find some mothering little mare to take care of you?" She snapped. A thought fleeted through telling her to calm down! She needn't freak out like this. She sighed, annoyed at her behavior and his sudden apperence. She relaxed slightly, looking at him wairly. "What do you want Tahmores? I thought you realized you couldn't deal with all the stress?" she asked, her voice softer now.

Tahmores merely gazed at her as she began to snap at him. So, things were still the same with her, but at the same time things were different. Perhaps they had both changed since he had left her a few weeks ago and maybe it was best that he had left her when he did. He remained quiet as she calmed herself down. He continued to remain silent for a few brief minutes after hearing Yi’s next set of questions.
Was it a bad idea to come back here? Hera had offered to become his mate after he had left Yi to think about everything he was faced with. Was it worth it to come back to Yi and try to become her mate again? Now was his chance to see if his second attempt was worth it. “You,” he merely said before pausing again for a brief moment. “That is if you want me back. I needed some time to go soul searching. It took me longer than I figured, but I am a new Jala.” He shifted his wings so that they rested halfway down his sides. “Unless you don’t want me back. If you don’t there is this pretty little brindled dapple-grey mare who offered to become my mate if you wouldn’t take me back.” He canted his head as he gazed at her to see her reaction to his statement about Hera’s mate offer.

Yi blinked before she composed herself. "You have changed." She said simply. that was an understandment. He did not flinch away from her and duck his head. "You should show some respect tho. Never good at that were you." She rolled her eyes. "Come in Tahmores." she nodded towards and headed in. "Another mare? Explain. This seems...to diffrent from the little stallion who came to me forever ago. To far in the other direction. Another mare? And am I the one you prefer or have you come to just want power? The question, my dear, dear Tahmores, is not do I want you, but do you want me? and all that it would entail?"
She moved around the stallion as she spoke, watching him. "Tahmores...Tahmores...have you changed entirly? Are you somone diffrent?" she sighed. It just didn't seem like him. Another mare? What in the world was he talking about? Was he just as shallow and dirty as other stallions? Or was he the same stallion who had come to her, the same stallion who calmed her. That she...perhaps...tho she felt a strange feeling at the word....loved? "Please explain."

“You are right. I was, and still am, never good at that, though I only have my past to blame for that. In time that, too, will become corrected.” He waited for her to enter the cave before following her. It didn’t seem like it was that long ago that he fled from here without a look back to take a deep look inside of himself to find the real Tahmores. Though was it worth it? Was anything worth it to become Yi’s mate and consort? Back then it seemed like it was a futile effort for him to become her mate but now? Now was a time for him to make up for his past mistakes and to show her that everything he had learned was not in vain.
He heard Yi’s question about the other mare and he regretted saying that. But at the same time he was relieved to have gotten that little bit of information off of his chest. Just the interaction with Hera made him feel guilty about leaving Yi. When she instructed her to explain he remained silent for a few brief moments before finally speaking. “She came to me, not the other way around. It was her who offered to become my mate, not me. That was until she offered me to become her slave. Though I am not really sure why I would go back to her when I have you to come to.” He took a few steps closer to her, reaching his muzzle out to hers to touch it. Would she really accept him back into her life? After all he had told the truth to her about Hera. There wasn’t a connection between him and the dapple-grey mare to begin with. His heart had always been with Yi and that was what he wanted for eternity. “So, will you take me back, my love?”

"...I do not know..." she said softly. She sighed. She really wasn't sure. She had spent so much time dealing with him and the after effects of his departure that she had missed much in her own herd. And yet...he calmed her. He kept her temper in check. She looked at him. "Will you be there? truly be there. No disappering for long periods of time. I need you with me...always. I cannot risk you leaving, disappering, leaving me hanging, and the world passing by, leaving me. I will not become an outcast in my own herd. I will not be beaten by my brother. I will not. But if you hold be back. If you tie me up in words and promises, and then disapper...that will be it...I never let you go, Tahmores, it is you who ran from me, broke away and did not look back. I have never loved...not truly. My mother, i admire her, i aspire to be her, on a level i respect her. My father i hate, my brother, i detest. My people...I care for them and love them as if they were my mother and father and brother. As if they were a little sister or brother that i must care for. My slave i care for as if she were a child. THought she is long grown now she is still a child to me and she will always be treated as such, but i care for her. I have not loved before, as you see...And I have never known what it is like to have the love of another. True, unequivical love....I do not know." She shook her head. "I cannot fathom it. This uncertainty, this...hollowness...that followed your departure was new to me, Tahmores. But i tried to fill that hollowness....with what i don't know but i tried. Perhaps I love you, perhaps i adore you...But dammit Tahmores i can't take you leaving again!" she backed away from him. "I have never felt love like that you say you feel for me...For me and not my position...Promise me you will not leave as you did before. Promise me that when i become queen you will not run away as you have done. Promise me you will stand by me, for goodness sakes, and away from the eyes of the herd you will treat me better then i have ever been treated. That you will love me and adore me for me. That you will show me what it is like to be loved...truly loved...." she said, her voice riseing and falling with emotion. Only Tahmores could get her from screaming to crying in only a moment. Yes, her temper flared around her brother, but she kept it in check, not wanting to be seen as the weaker, lesser of the two. Around the herd she never let her temper show, or at least not its full force. Yet around Tahmores there was saftey. He did not judge her as her subjects did. He loved her.

He didn’t know how much he had hurt her until that very moment. Did he do that right thing when he had left her several weeks ago? Was it the right decision? Maybe it was and maybe it wasn’t. It helped him get his life back into order, but at the same time it got her life out of order. Was everything that he did before that the right one? He had thought that everything that he did do was the correct one but now he was questioning himself again. After weeks of finding himself did he come back to find that everything in her life had lost itself? He couldn’t help but feel guilty that he had caused all of this. Maybe this time he might get things right. No, he had to get things right or else he would be risking more than just loosing Yi.
Taking a few steps towards her to fill in the gap between them, he spread his wings out and wrapped them around her sides. “I promise from now until the day that I die that I will always be at your side.” He closed his eyes, took a few deep breaths, and the reopened his eyes. “I wish I could go back in time and right the wrongs that I did to you. I never meant to hurt you. Trust me, Yi. This time I will make things right and I will never hurt you again.” He blinked a few times, hoping that she might stay with him.

She stiffined as his wings enclosed her. After a moment, however, she relaxed. "...Tahmores..." She spoke softly, her voice a mear breath. "...I don't understand..." She looked at him. "teach me what it is like to be loved." she said softly. She could not tell him she loved him. The words would not form, tho the feeling was there. And she noted it had been there. At first, when she met the frightened stallion she felt pity for him and wanted to protect him, make him stronger, just as she had when she had bought Irada. Even with his declaration of love she did not give it true thought. However teaching him drew her close. Her barriers flew down and she became the inner Yi. The Yi that she would have been had she been born into a common family and not the royalty she was destined for.
"I have everything to lose...Tahmores...jala or not you are an outsider..." she looked down. "Such commotion. The heiress practically disappering, knowing nothing of her herd's happenings, and then returning into the lime light with a stallion from outside the herd." she sighed. "the only thing that could make this worse would be if there were children." she stopped and shuttered. "But right now i'm in my chambers, my sactuary, my home and the herd does not matter to me. Come with me farther into my little world of my own, Tahmores. we are still to close to the entrence for me to feel safe." she said, but she did not move to head deeper into the caves for it would have pulled her out from under his wing and at the moment she liked the feeling.

[ooc: sorry about the major delay. RL has been horrible for me this year, especially for the past month and a half. X.X]
Tahmores felt her stiffen under his wings but he didn't dare pull his wings away from her. He knew she needed all of his attention that he could possibly offer her-plus more than he could offer her if he had any to spare. He remained quiet and semi-relaxed as she started to speak to him again, this time her voice softer than before. He blinked his eyes a few times at her request. "I, too, am learning to know what it is like to be loved," he said to her, telling her the truth. "There is much that I, myself, do not know but most of the things that I do now are merely instinct, though I do not know where I now of this knowledge. Maybe all Nequus know instinctively of love but some do not know how to express it the way that they want to."
Hearing the next state of comment from her made her a little nervous but he didn't outwardly show that on his face. He didn't want to make her think that he was rethinking his decision to come back to her, though he wasn't about to do that. Him thinking that would ruin Yi more than him meely leaving her for a few weeks. "But there are no offspring, right?" he asked her, a hint of curiosity in his voice. He would have known if she had offspring by him though he had to be sure he was right in him thinking that. Hearing her request to move deeper into her sanctuary, he nodded his head and, without removing his wings from around her, started to slowly walk deeper into the cave, hoping that she would follow him simultaneously.

Yi watched him silently as he spoke, moving with him as the went deeper into the only place she ever felt safe. "Perhaps." she said simply. Perhaps it was as he said, they all knew love...they just needed to learn how to show it.
However, at his next words she shot him a look. "Tahmores, be serious. Children." she snorted. "Don't make me laugh. As if i will have children so early in my life. I still am not queen. I still need to become better. How can i worry myself with children." She snorted, before growing serious. "One day, however...one day..." she fell silent. She didn't like the thought of children, in all accuality. But she would need to have some in order to pass the herd on to them one day. But she'd rather not think about that right now.
Her thoughts stuck to the commotion that she had mentioned. It was real, all right. An outsider...and the Heiress. Yay. She would need to have him speak to her mother soon...the sooner he was a part of the herd the better it would be. Still "scandalous" but at least not something that would crush her and him. THey might not trust her as much, she'd have to work harder. "Are you really up to all of this? There will be many, i am sure, who will make life hard...incredibly hard...And will not trust you...or even me for that matter. Can you put up with that, Tahmores?" She did not need him breaking under pressure.

"Indeed, one day," he echoed her words. He felt a little nervous as he said that but he didn't let it show to Yi at all. He wanted to be strong for her. No, that was wrong. He needed to be strong for her sake. He had been a coward all of his life but now he had changed his entire life around for her. It was worth it in his eyes but was it worth it in hers? Only time would tell if things would continue to work out for the two of them and time was all he had at the moment.
Carefully, he pulled one of his wings from around her body and put the tip of it under Yi's chin. "The question is are you ready to face those ugly rumors that have been spread around by the mane herd members? They know not of what you show me here in your grotto. I don't want you to fall apart on me. Not when I have picked up my own pieces from being a failure most of my life." He paused for a few seconds before closing his eyes slightly. "I have already faced one harsh herd member, but I have not felt the entire herd's wrath. Though this is something that we need to do. Perhaps sooner than I had originally thought."

Yi whipped away from him, ears flattening. "What did you say? Am i ready? I have been facing rumors and ugly stares for my whole life! I am always under preassure. In fact, I don't know what i'd do, how i'd live, without the pressure!" She snorted. How dare he insult her. "It is you who is more likely to break. It is you who vary well could walk out on me one day, because you can't take it. Your not a fighter, like almost ever other stallion in this herd. You are pathetic compared to them. I have power even they do not possess. I have strength that even the most mighty cannot fathom! Never insult me like that again or you can go back to that other little mare of yours!" She glared at him. He should know her better...
