He was cautious, actually, stepping foot out of the cave he had lived in for so long. His paws seemed to twist with a desire to venture back into the cave. Yet his mind told him to go out into the beaming sun. So, Aisu looked up at the glowing orb, glared, and gulped down sudden anxiety. He wasn't expecting himself to feel anxious or excited. Aisu was scared, after his last encounter with that female.

Though... He'd rather forget about her.

With his paw stepping firmly into the cool grass, Aisu smiled and with a brisk smile he padded out into the sun.

The bright sunlight flitted between the leaves of the tree, striking Xena's back, flooding it with warmth. Her eyes flitted back and forth, seeking her next target. After all, she was Xena, Warrior Ucolian. She needed something to do to pass the time. Xena, in the perfect spot- high up in a tree, nestled between two branches, her paws soft and padded, trained for utter silence while stalking; her claws razor sharp, ready for the kill, and her eyes, eager, menacing, calculating, ready to spot...

Aha! she'd seen him. That ice-colored Ulaya... Ice-oo or something like that. Xena smiled to herself. This would be fun. She remembered her last... shall we say... encounter? with him, and there was no doubt she'd been the victor. It wasn't out of fun last time, but out of instinct. During her lifetime, whenever she had been faced with anything foreign, she'd discovered that it was always better to defend herself before it could attack her. She'd learned that much from her... well, you couldn't really say it was a father, but sort of her father figure. Xena had no idea who her real father was, but the Ucolian who'd been her father figure had been harsh, strict, and even just plain mean. Her only means of comfort had been her brother, but she wasn't quite sure where he was. Besides, it always took a while for anyone, or anything, for that matter, to gain her trust.

Anyway, back to the ice-colored Ulaya. She sprung, her wings thrusting her forward at double speed, and landed perfectly, crouched and aggressive, ready for the attack. "Well, well, well... look who we have here..."

The sunlight was heavenly from his point of view. Now that he thought about it, the sun seemed to dawn everywhere now-a-days. He wondered when it would finally tuck away to reveal a moon. Aisu's claws dug into the ground helplessly. His only source of any motivation to move was just staring at the sun. Forcing himself to move away, into the shade that darkened his pelt, did his pelt make a 'splashing' noise.

Aisu glanced down, wincing as he heard another loud drip. Turning to look at his tail he noticed that the tip was melting. It dripped crazily, until he itched further into the shade.

Then he heard another noise. Wings. Aisu didn't want to turn and face the creature, though it's voice said it all. A female. He wasn't in a pleasent mood, finally realizing that this might be a female he could have encountered before. Scrapping at the ground he turned around to face the female. His lips were curled back into a venomous snarl.

"What do you want?" Yup. This was someone he could have seen before. Aisu remembered her from another place. Unsheathing his claws once more, he growled at the female. His first reaction; only because she was in a crouched position - a position to attack another.

"Entertainment." she said straightening up, a maniacal grin spreading slowly over her features. "Not that it really matters to you, does it?" She drew back her claws, sure he would notice the difference. Not that it mattered; she'd trained so well with her brother Boreli (sp?) that she could have them out again in a split second. She took a step sideways- that was another thing she'd learned: Never turn your back, or even your side, for that matter, to a potential enemy. She'd learned that quickly enough, and paid for it with nearly half of her eyesight. The scar over her left eye was reminder enough. Silently, she took another step, her claws protruding no more than a centimeter from her paws, and began circling him.
