The whole name confusion brings to mind the conversations I have when people ask what bands I like.

"So, what music do you listen to?"
"Oh, lots of stuff. This, that, etc (insert list), HIM..."
"Who?"
"HIM, the band."
"Who, and what band??"
"No, HIM is a band, from Finland."
"...whose band???"

gonk Now that more people know who they are, it doesn't happen as often.

I never use the punctuation between the letters. I always capitalize it, but never write H.I.M.
HIM looks nicer.

I know..I hate the new fans that are the most annoying little fangirls you have ever met in your life *just want to strangle them* - not that I've got anything against new fans, just the posers.

You should have seen my parents face when I came back from the gig. While I was there, they researched them and found the lyrics for Join me in Death, and banned me from ever seeing them again. Apparently they're as bad as Marilyn Manson and all they want to do is destroy my soul or something like that :S

Of course, now everyone wants to pray for me, or lay hands on me or whatever. But I agree - people need to look into the lyrics more. When Dark Light was released, I got loads of hassle off noobs, telling me that Killing Lonliness was an emo, depressing song. I was like KILLING lonliness, KILLING LONLINESS!!! It's a love song!!!!

It's fun how being a HIM fan can spark such a debate with society isn't it???

but yeah, that sounds like something my parents would do, if they haven't done it already. hence, the reson why i've never been to any concert before. like i'm still trying to see the comaprison between HIM and Manson, other that that they both rock.
and the reason why alot of people don't look into the lyrics more is because they see the heartagram or they look at a song title, and they think, "hmm...hey there that thingamajigy symboly thing is looking to be a little on the evil side... and what is this here 'killing lonlieness'? ...haarrr *scratches chin*- this must mean that this here music is EVIL! EVIL I TELL YOU! BEGONE SATAN!!!!!!!"
...and yes, that was my impersonation of a hick's reaction to HIM.

I wish I could see Manson in concert but my 'rents don't quite approve of his music >.>

yeah, i'm too lazy to use the punctuation. but does anyone know why they omitted the strikethrough in thier name after venus doom came out?

I haven't seen H.I.M. either *sobs* My Scottish friend saw them a lot of times and last time she saw them, Ville smiled at her apparently and she thinks he recognised her. She's been to so many and always makes sure she's in the front two rows xD I'm so jealous! But .. yes, people think the music is satanic and my mum hates the look of Ville. I have the Kerrang poster of him with an oxygen mask and she made me put it behind my door so she doesn't see it when she comes in ^^
