I live in Washington between Forks and Portland, Oregon. When I heard they were filming the movie in Oregon I was mad, really it would take them 3 more hours to drive from Portland to Forks. Whats up with this? What do you think?

I think so many mistakes have already been made in the production of this movie, so it's not going to be a big deal. I mean they've changed hair colors and laurent might be black,(wtf?) It's already ridiculous.

If they feel like recreating Forks in Oregon then they should do that. Personally I'm going to have to see the movie before making any more judgements or at least a trailer.

I'll be fine with the movie as long as it isn't totally different from the book. I've already heard a few rumors about Edward apparently being able to fly on the tops of trees and the ending fight scene being different, so it being filmed in Oregon doesn't seem like a big deal to me. Both quotes are from interviews on the MTV Movies Blog about Twilight. Quote: “The main character is like, superhuman,” Stewart said of the action scenes in the script. “He’s a vampire, but with really [heightened powers]; he can run faster than a car can drive, and he’s super strong. He throws me over his back [in one scene], right before he’s going to tell me that he’s a vampire, and then he runs over the treetops. And we’re going to be in real treetops; we’re not just going to CGI it. We actually get to go up there, and that’s what I’m stoked on.” Quote: MTV: What’s the one scene in the book that you can’t wait to see on the big screen? Greene: Well, the film’s a little different from the book. But script-wise, of course I’m really excited about the fight scene. MTV: The big fight at the end? Greene: Yeah. It’s a new experience to get to do that kind of stuff, even though in the book, the fight scene is a little different than in the script.

At this point it almost doesn't matter where they film the movie because it's going to SUCK and they're going to mess the entire thing up. I'm boycotting the movie and so are all of my friends.

they never stay in one place to film a movie. And most of the time they are in a different place than from where the movie is bassed. I mean look at Harry Potter a lot of that was filmed in Scottland.

Icon from lion&lamb lj communityEveryone knows they're going to botch up the books. I was angry about it at first too, but now I'm hella excited. It's coming out, whether you like it or not, at the end of the year. Really people, if you're just going to complain and not even try to enjoy it, then don't go and see it.

I've been excited about it. As far as I can tell, it is not going to be as bad as 'Bloo and Chocolate' was. Be content with that. I'm not too upset with the casting, and yeah, a couple of the characters are black (Tyler and Laurent, I believe) in the movie, but they just want mpore variety than is in the books. That was one of the things that saddened me about the book anyway, they were all pale, some were tan, there was an Asian, but that was it. I'm personally glad that there are other ethnicities in the movie. And of course they are not filming exclusively in Forks, they rarely film movies exclusiviely in the place they're suppopsed to be set in.
