Hey, whats up? i need some more help guys....
ok, i'm in this band, and the other guys decided for what we are doing c will be a better tunning instead of drop d, which is not a very big deal in its self... but i cant seem to find it. So if you peoples can try and give me some instructions it would be much apreatiated...

Hrm, Instructions are hard without being there to show you... Do you have a tuner you can use?

Go to Drop D, and then go down one whole step. So it will be: CGCFAD.

Yes. The tuneing is hard to to keep at that level. Especialy the low C. I use a 48 guage string for the C string. But if you want to use Open C tuneing(CGCGCE) for more chordal use, try something with higher gauge low strings with standerd higher strings.Skinny Top heavy Bottom Ernie ball should work. Unless you are useing a guitar with a floating bridge. Then the open tuneing might not be a good idea.

cant say i use a whole lot of cords, mostly power cords and various riffs, but i think where just going to stay with drop d now, but i'm still going to invest in heavier strings, should i replace the nut, or keep the ones that i have on it?

You don't have to replace the nut. It might be a good idea to widen the slits though. Intonation will have to be changed a litle if you do up the guage but not tune lower.
