I still don't understand what the difference is.
I will quote a fabulous post from Ent:
"I am Anon. I am YouTube. I am YTMND. I am Gaia. I am a user. I am me. Whatever or wherever I come from, we are all in this as one. Nameless or named, we have but one goal: to kick some $cifag a**. Many do it for lulz, but others do it because they believe that the Internet is more than a playground for stupid antics, but a medium that can and will change everything. We are making history. We are becoming legends." - Anonymous.

Well, it was probably a Gaiafag who wrote that, not an original Anon. As for me, I was Anon for years before I joined Gaia, and will be for years after I leave.
Gaiafags aren't the only problem with 4chan, by the way, and just being from Gaia doesn't make you bad. Ever since Gaia discovered 4chan, though, a lot of retards from Gaia have been clogging the boards (especially /b/) with total s**t. Utter disregard for the proper way to act there, too.
That said, I have no problem with most Gaiafags. They can do what they want, even come on my /b/, as long as they're sure they know what they're doing.

Since when did /b/ have proper etiquette? neutral Not so much etiquette as knowing what stuff means, knowing your memes, just the way business is conducted on /b/. Before the Cancer, people lurked, sometimes for months, before they ever started posting. Now people just come on and start posting worthless s**t and start forcing memes all over the place like there's no tomorrow.
Grr. THIS USER HAS BEEN CANNED FOR THIS ROAST
No white text above this. (USER HAS BEEN FLANNED FOR THIS TOAST)

I've been both a Gaiafag and a /b/tard for quite a few years now. Both have their own expectations and fairly set ways of doing things, and both have their pros and cons. As long as people LURK MOAR before posting in a new place so they can see how things are done before mucking things up, I don't see a problem with "newfags". Everyone was a newfag at one point or another. It doesn't matter where you first found your niche online, as long as you know how to post correctly in the place that you're currently posting. If that makes any sense at all.
A lot of the oldfags need to realize that in order to get their fabled, elusive new content that is so prized on the internet, new PEOPLE are going to also be required. Newfags don't have to be such a bad thing, as long as they go through their required period of lurking moar.

I mean STILL lurk sometimes ya know nobody likes a retard. [IE.] So I was in the GD... and this guy was posting a lot of mudkips so I asked him Do you like Mudkips?.... This is why we are the cancer that is killing /b/. ******** like that.
