The storm was ragging and the cub had been running, he'd wanted to find a shelter failing that he tried his best to out run the rain. The clouds had given him a run for his money and they'd always been ahead but with time they began to disperse. They seemed to carry a smirk about them, a certain way they scattered in the sky and turned into wispy blue puffs that told him sternly "I'll be back." Stopping for the first time in a good part of on hour the small figure panted and struggled to find the air around him, his lungs seemed to ache almost as much as his legs. With fur drenched and his ear flat he enjoyed his rest, finally catching his breath and steadying his breathing he managed to get up and flop out of the tree's and out to his new surroundings. The ground was hard with no grass to comfort his paws and only the shrubbery behind him would offer a blissful shade.

The large paws left imprints on the wet sand. They just missed the hard rains this land made. Neo grew up in this desert. He always knew the rain cycles, and having a daughter that could talk, very little though, to the stars, they told he when it was going to rain. It had to be true because she was always right. He looked up with a kingly face on. These were his lands and he was alway protective of his daughter, mainly since they have been growing.
For a while Bernadette stayed behind her father. Giggling as she pounced on his paws placing her feet on his massive paw prints. After a while she didn't like it. She went ahead of her father and soon somthing stuck out to her. A BREATHING BUSH!
So what does she say?
"Daddy! That bush is breathing!" She started to wander over to it her father close behind.

Horus had closed his eyes, trying to ignore his aching limbs and think of better times, his thoughts took him back to playing with a neighbors tribes cubs not to long ago, they were all giggling and covered in mud, pouncing about... ahh it was as if he could feel the ground below him moving as he remembered. Wait a minute... The ground WAS shaking ever so slightly! The cubs eyes opened slowly slightly scared by what he might find, in his world if he couldn't see it, it wasn't there and thus could not hurt him. Unfortunately for him this was the real world and in the real world you opened your eyes and you took a look at whatever was about to eat you.
Slowly inch by inch he turned his head to peer through the bush, something was rustled into the leafs and he could see the vibrant colours through the un-leafed area's. Taking in a gasp he feared for the worse, he'd seen colours like this before and they belonged to lions with big claws and strange tails, Raptors he seemed to remember... well that and running away rather quickly.

Alice took a deep smell. SHe giggled and pawed at the bush. "DADDY!" She called, and looked back. "Its another cub! I think he's dead... wait he breathing.." She giggled again and started pawwing at the bush. "Come ouutt." She wiggled around a bit.
Neo blinked, his daughter found a cub. Not many cubs survided around here with out parents or it they knew what it was like. But then again it had been raining a bit. He nudged his daughter to the side and peered through the bush... It was a cub. Younger than Bernadette. "Hello. Are you lost?"

As he squinted to get a better look he heard a voice, a high pitched voice similar to his own child like tone. Leaning forward he cringed as his back still pulsed with aches, if it was a cub like himself he wanted to play! Even if it was a raptor cub, surely they played too? Then before he'd managed to get up her saw something much bigger approach and then it spoke. He slithered back as the deep roar of a voice spoke directly to him, if there wasn't the shrubbery in the way he'd see the cub shivering slightly still wet and cold in the shade. The voice might of been from a big person but it wasn't saying mean things like I'm going to eat you or Yummy who brought the ketchup, no it was greeting him and asking him a question. Managing to lessen his shiver he stumbled to reply "YeYes and N..n..no.."

Neo blinked and let his daughter lean against his back leg. "I don't understand what you mean." He pawwed the cub out and gently look down at him. "What do you mean by yes and no, are you kinda lost?" He asked with a laugh trying to make the cub less tence. He nudged him slightly with a smile.

Horus was whisked out and into the open with two sets of eyes on him, he looked up slowly and blinked, big cub like eyes begged his safety under the damp golden fur. "I.. I don't figure I know where I am, but I've no where to return or head..." he tried to calm his nerves, he was fine around cubs and even kits but adults scared him. They could easily mistake him for something unwelcome and often did, playing with the prides young with no consent and those paws alone could easily crush him.
