 Welcome to The Beta Lake! Home to many Betas and their friends from the Beta Aquarium. Please enjoy your visit/stay! The Beta Lake is a B/C Pet Guild, and an important part of the Beta Aquarium B/C shop. Many of the shop's administrative and sales features are contained here, including Staff Work Threads, SE Commissions, Naming/Mating threads, and sometimes events! If you joined our guild expecting fans of Gaia's Aquarium system and lots of Booty Grab bump threads, we are sorry to disappoint. However, please feel free to look around and maybe get involved in our wonderful shop!

The Beta Lake Staff is separate from the Beta Aquarium Staff, even though most of the Guild Staff are the Shop Staff. These people have certain jobs and responsibilities that belong to the guild. Do as they say!Don't be afraid to PM them if you see something going on that shouldn't be. . The Shop Mule is the head of the guild and has all powers. The Shop Staff have access to it.
. The Staff Moderators are the Beta Aquarium Staff, and have all the same powers as the Shop Mule and are the ones who do the majority of the guild moderating.
. The General Moderator keeps an eye on everything going on in the guild when the Staff Moderators can't.
. The Roleplay Moderator moderates the roleplay forum and make sure the RP stays PG-13.
. The Owner's List Manager makes sure the owner's list is updated and pretty. Be nice to her; if your beta is not on the owner's list it will not be bred or evolved.
. The Honorary Staff the shop's original owner! who is still honored and retains their guild powers even though they are gone.
Currently, Shop/General Moderators and the Owner's List Manager are the only active Guild Staff. Not listed are several mules owned by staff members that also have moderating power. From time to time, the Shop Moderators shall need to appoint new staff members to help out. Here is where you will find all of the information about open Guild Staff positions. The current positions that are needed ---- NONE
Roleplay Moderator -- Watches Roleplays and makes sure they stay PG-13.

-----Requirements: Will have to work well with others. Be able to spend a lot of time reading through roleplaying threads.
General Moderator -- Watches the main forum and journal forum and makes sure guild members follow the posted rules.
-----Needed: 0
-----Requirements: Will have to work well with others. Have time to check over several large forums on a regular basis.

- If you are in a Roleplay designated area, out of character dialect should be in double parethesis -- (( ))
Roleplay Rules

- Roleplay freely in designated areas.
- Roleplay at your discretion in non-rp designated areas.
The rules found in the shop thread also apply to the guild.
You will be warned for the first 3 offenses, after that you will be banned from the guild.Thread Making Rules

Personal Tanks, or as they are known by the Gaia World, Journals, are available to every beta owner. (If you dont own a beta, you cannot make one)
1 PER person!! No multiple threads please.
In your personal tank, you can post your betas and their pets along with anything you might wish to keep. From personal roleplays to presents from friends!
If you wish to have a personal tank, make your own thread with the proper label ((( at the beginning of your subject title add -- [T] ))
Please make sure to read the thread making rules along with the roleplaying rules.
BETA OWNERSHIP BANNER
You've the proud owner of a beta! Now what?
If you've got a certed adult or evolve:
1. Save the cert to your computer and upload to your own image storage.
2. Make a personal tank (if you haven't already) and post your cert.
3. Make a post in this owner's list thread (if you haven't already; you can add on to previous posts) with your fish's info/update your fish's info.
4. REJOICE!
If you've got a certed egg or baby:
1. Direct link until the fish reaches its final stage (usually adult).
2. Name your babies! Baby fish cannot grow if they are not named.
3. See instructions for adults/evolves!
