This a private RP between me and Ripple. Pweese do not post unless we ask or allow you to ^_^ Thankies! Her walking was getting better, but now she had the urge to push herself...without the help of either of her parents or siblings.
So far, she had fallen into the river twice, tripped over about fifty invisible rocks, tumbled down a hill and gotten tangled in at least ten bushes. At least she wasn't seriously injured, but it was starting to get dark, and she was lost...and far away from her family. Too far. The stories her Father had told her about...the Flood...scared her almost to death. And now, lost, alone and cold, she remembered them, every detail. every bone-chilling detail.
She was scared.

Nagumo had wondered away from the cave, not too far to get lost but far enough not to hear Kesi's squealing voice. These little journeys of his where coming more frequently recently, his mind would begin to spin after too long around his siblings, mother and aunt. So far he had no idea why just that a walk every few days help calm his temper enough to tolerate Keji's strange habits and the girls full stop. Heaven didn't seem to mind, perhaps it had something to do with his instinct to course mischief and dismay the others but here alone he had a clear mind and he could hunt for himself. His prey may be small but it was more dignified than eating what that... thing of a father brought them in sympathy.
Something flashed near, his head snapped to attention and glared towards the figure. At first he'd thought it was a bug but then seeing its size he rethought and couldn't come to a reasonable conclusion and that meant he'd have to satisfy his curiosity... Dropping his body to the ground he began to stalk it, his eyes fixated on the blue and black target without a single blink.

Still creeping slowly along, a strange scent wafted to her nose, causing her to scamper a little faster, her tail between her legs. But, for all the luck in the world, she had to trip over yet another invisible rock. But this time she fell twice, landing in a stagnant pool of yucky muck. "Owwwww..." She whimpered but got up and walked out..but for some reason it was difficult. Looking at her hind legs, she could see the plates jammed with muck and...muck. "Son of a..." she cursed quietly under her breath, a habit picked up from her mother. She looked towards the river, then back to where the smell was coming from. If it was bigger than her, she may as well be dead. But if she could make it to the river and wash off...maybe she could swim upriver somehow and get home...

Nagumo had managed to creep up pretty close and get a better look at the figure. It was somewhat familiar with strange metallic looking objects attached at certain parts, it was no bigger than him and thus he concluded the threat was minimal. Upon further spying he'd watched her quicken her pace away and get trapped, he felt a flood of panic and jumped to his feet rushing over to assist. Why had he done that? What care had he for a stranger in the dark... he was already rethinking his express decision it was so unlike how he'd expected to react but now he was behind the figure. The shadow's bounced off him and the moon glistened on the cleanly polished look of his shoes and glasses, Drawing in a breath he spoke quickly "I hadn't expected to approach you but seeing as I have It looks like you..." He bit his lip he couldn't believe what he was about to say "need my help." It cursed it off under his own breath, he'd bite his mother and that darned Aunt of his, it must have something to do with them and the constant demands to behave.. be nice to people. Reaching out he was going to remove some of the muck with his sleeve, shaking his head still puzzled at his own actions.

Her first reaction was to attack. She swiped at the newcomer with her metal claw, only to stop suddenly. Did she hit him? "Oh my gosh, i'm so sorry." she said panicked. Her legs could hardly move still, and she had probably jumped the gun. "I...i thank you and yes...i do seem to need help...the plates on my legs are jammed..." she said softly, the shadows of plants scaring her...didn't Dad say Flood had tentacles?

Nagumo had almost been caught with her swing had he not dodged with a quick reaction. She was a feisty one, that alone made him grin. He wasn't regretting his approach now so much, in fact he was intrigued to see what she might just pull out now. He was a bit disappointed at the stuttered spew, for someone who just swung at him he'd expected a more strength in her speech. "Then I suppose you should wash it off." His grin faded into a dull smirk, would he have to push her? carry her... It all sounded a lot of undignified effort for someone he just met and hadn't even caught the name of yet but it must of been uncomfortable and it was she. Oh jeesh if she cried he'd be so gone, best to avoid that possibility altogether. Padding over to the river he gathered some water in his coat and run back to spill it over the mud, attempting to dislodge enough for her to make her own way for the rest. It was quite an amusing scene actually, watching the male cub hop back drenched coat splashing in his haste.

Argh! He was trying to help her! Was she really that pathetic? why did she even say she needed help? She was trying to be on her OWN. Letting out a baby snarl, she jumped away from him and clumsily ran towards the river. "I can do this my self, THANK YOU." she said forcefully. "I don't need ANY help from ANYONE because i can do it MYSELF." She growled as she made her way into the clam part of the river, and began to try and dislodge the mud.

Nagumo's brow sunk, oh could she now? Great! "Good I'll just leave you ALONE here in the dark" he snuffed and turned to leave, spotting a reasonable sized rock a few strides away. Hoping up he surveyed his surroundings, it was dark and there wasn't much to see... the occasional chirp from the bushes seemed the only company well.. and that girl. But she was willing to go it on her own, good for her he'd just relax for the rest of his little outing it was silly for him to try and help anyway. Why had he even revealed himself.. it was like he was overcome with panic and couldn't help himself, the frown remained and he sat proudly looking up at the stars, his coat still dripping "Stupid girls..." he mumbled under his breath.

She walked away, only to stumble again and get two of her claws stuck inbetween a pile of large rocks. What was going on today? "Hey, You! I think NOW i could use a litt-YARGH!!!" she screamed as a large snake raised it's head. She hated snakes. "Sn....sn....sn...sn...sn...sn...SNAKE!!!!" she screamed, trying her best to wriggle out, but she was stuck tight.

With a roll of his eyes he listened without turning to see he situation as she carried on a little worry began to grow, something was alerting in his body making him wish to pounce to the rescue. But after his previous 'rescue' he wasn't entirely sure he wished to move, "Oh so you need me now huh?" snorting he tilted his head to the side and caught her silhouette in the night "a wha..." Snake? Oh those where fun he'd 'saved' Alex from one of those once in a play fight it was their prey. No silly reptile stood a chance with a lion even of his cub size but she did sound panicked and knowing girls she was more than likely going to continue making noise, sighing he spoke again "say pretty please?"
