so as of now, i am basically saving all my money. i'm going to need at least 10k for london. it's about 8500 for housing, tuition, program fees, travel, and food. but then they expect you to provide at least 1k for spend money. and as the pound is twice the worth of the american dollar, 1k won't really cut it for four months.
it's a lot of money, but i'll be working at sodapop's restaurant this summer, and will probably try to find another job. my mom is going to teach summer school and all of that money will go to my london fund. then i've gotta talk my dad into seriously contributing. he hasn't paid for my dorm or tuition or anything, so i pretty much think he is obligated to help me out. we'll see how that convo goes.
i just wanna go! but it's just so much money!

ahh!!! crying i could seriously cry right now! just found out that the total costs for the london semester this spring came to about $14,000! that's fourteen thousand dollars! for 4 months!
i'm not giving up hope yet, but that is a large lump of money. especially to save up in little less than a year.
i may end up going to new zealand and australia after all. if it's a bit cheaper that is.

Or not.
Look at the bright side. At least, should you not get to go, you'll have more money saved up for.. stuff! And then maybe you could just go on your own after you finish school, so you'd be able to just enjoy it without tuition costs and school work.

turns out i won't be going to london until spring 2010. it's sad but this way i can save up more money (it's really going to help to not have to pay for my dorm next year--that's about half the cost of london) and it won't be so stressful.
