Well there was a lot happening recently, and quite a bit of it was setting up my weekend to be one of lots of alone time. Not that I have anything against that, I probably needed a little RnR. I live in Arkansas and as a noble Arkansan I find it easy to distrust the weather and well I never once believed we were finally going to get a good snow, especially not this late into the year. Anyway, things just kept stacking up negatively before this Friday. I had to get an assignment done, history exam study guide, my mum wanted me to come down for the weekend, and one of my best friends I had made plans with was leaving and postponing then for like 2 or 3 days. Yeah, kind of a poor weekend, but things really started too look up when the gentle glaze of snow fell across the grass. Classes got called, the roads to my mum's are frozen, and my friend asked me to spend a ton of the day with her. 3nodding It was great, first we climbed up a local mountain that was just blanked in snow, had a few good laughs whilst slipping, no injuries, then hot chocolate and a movie, hmm... oh and I got my first non fast food meal in a few days, steak! Woo! Today was a very good day for it to snow.

So that is what Arkansas looks like. hmm, pretty. I really need to travel around the US sometime, leave this east coast life. Well i am happy to hear you got a great snow day and hopefully it will only get better. We have been getting lots of cold rain and thunder lately. I like rain but not cold rain and not thunder.

We were all actually kind of surprised it snowed so much in March, I mean we'd been having weather that was fluctuating between hot and cold really often actually.

Just found out my friend might have bruised or boken her tail bone, that's the coccyx for those wondering. She fell a little ways while we were climbing... now I feel a bit like an a**, god I wish I could have been just a little closer so I could of caught her.

It snowed here last night... I looked out the window and saw white stuff and was like "Huh, what IS that?"
Then it clicked, lol.
Also, when I went to Arkansas it was very flat, I am shocked to see mountains.

Really? It's hardly flat at all where I am, nothing but rolling hills, heck just about everywhere I drive is a good slope.

Aww i am so sorry to hear your friend got hurt. Hmm yes it would have been super romantic is you had caught her but the fact that you are even worried and wish you had caught her is enough to make you not an a**.

Well we were able to laugh a little about it, but I'm glad she's ok more than anything. She couldn't stop laughing though when I some how ended up waist deep in ice cold water. rofl We had so much fun, but things just wen't a little awry for short periods of time.

w00t!
i'm glad you had fun
i never get snow days. i live in the mid west (minnesota status), and i'm sorry but i must say... we got that dusting of snow on saturday, and you guys got a fricken snow day!
scream
but its cool. i'm glad someone can enjoy a random day off!
i've literally never had a snow day that was called by the state. we need to get like 2 feet of snow before we can even think about getting a snow day in minneapolis (i'm not lying!)
i had a cold day once, when i was like 9. it was sub zero weather and the windchill was like 64 below that day, and good ol' jesse ventura was smart enough to keep us youngin's inside

It never got on the roads and we only got around 5" on the ground. It was a lot of fun though, and we even had a huge snowball fight outside the dorms.
