to me...the soldier means the heart,soul,determination, and the battle for sucess and the wings represent taking off into the sky..forever rising upward to the top......

hybrid if i'm not mistaken is a term used for something bred of the highest quality, like a hybrid poodle was bred from like the "best" poodle parents or whatever
so hybrid soldier would have to do with something either like a spartan from halo which was genetically....improved i should say or someone bred from parents which very good genes

Not sure if I have said this before but I'll say it again. I think the Hybrid Soldier is a representation of LP's music. Its a mixture of each members contribution to the unique sound.
