Patrick Swayze Diagnosed With Pancreatic Cancer http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,335210,00.htmlFor those who don't know anything about Pancreatic Cancer, it's pretty much a death sentence. The news is saying his prognosis is good. There seem to be conflicting reports of his prognosis. "According to the American Cancer Society, the one-year survival rate is 20 percent, while the five-year rate is only 4 percent, for patients with pancreatic cancer." Discuss

Part-Time Viking ... Am I supposed to know who this is? I thought you would be among the people who recognized slightly more classic actors. Does Dirty Dancing ring a bell at all? Granted, I have not seen that movie (except the humorous sequel in Spanish), but I still know why he was/is loved. PS He's also in Donnie Darko. If you have not seen that movie, I recommend it.

Patrick Swayze was also in Black Dog, which I am sure everyone here has seen... ninja
He was also a lead role in the TV-Movie series about the Civil War entitled "North and South."

The Outsiders is quite a good translation between book and movie.
Otherwise, I feel sorry for this guy, really, he's a good guy, and then gets slammed with this. Nobody, nobody, deserves that.
