Now for your Articles! Fagosaurus Rex-Advice:
Anyway.
The subject is a boy. A boy I'm very close to and have known since I started Junior High. All signs point me to him. My heart is his, although he doesn't know it. Seriously. I've met plenty of boys I'd love to try dating, but I can't let go of him. I'd do anything for him. He's just so nice to me. He cares. I can tell him EVERYTHING. And he tells ME everything.
I've taken several online tests recently, about what the name of my true love is. One actually had his initials, the others had his first name. Every single on of them. I've also seen a hand teller person thing (rofllawl), and she said my true love was someone very close to me that's changed me life. Weird, I know.
And the lower he moves me on his Myspace top, the more my heart dies a little. (I know it's only Myspace, but he's always had me in the first row.)
I don't want to tell him about how I love him. I don't think that he'll accept it. I think that I should wait for a little bit and see what happens. Even though I've been waiting for a long time. I want to find the right time. Maybe when school starts; we'll see.
I don't know what to do anymore. This boy is my life, and I feel him slipping away from me every second. But yet when I talk to him, he acts like he's such good friends with me like we were before! I don't understand.
Should I give him some time (till school starts, I don't like summer relationships), or should I dump him like a hot sack of flour?
xoxo,
Anonymous.
I would wait until school starts, you know? Summer has a tendancy to make people drift away, but when you get near each other, it's like you two never parted. You should take the chance and tell him how you feel about him during the middle of the school year. I took the chance last year, but the guy I liked only wanted to stay friends now. It's always good to take a chance and tell that special somebody how you feel, because by the time you tell them, it may be too late.
Yes, this has been bugging me for a long time. It's an issue between me and my boyfriend.
I find that... he is very selfish, and he has a bad habit of taking stuff out on me. He brushes me off like I don't even matter, and I feel very sad and used. It's bad enough I feel depressed on a regular basis. ._.
And I have been wondering if I should break up with him or not. I'm not as happy in the relationship as I used to be. I still love him, don't get me wrong, but... *huff* I just can't deal with it anymore.
I'm scared to talk to him about it cause I don't want him to get angry with me. I know he'll either show attitude or tell me to get over myself.
Please help.
<3
My advice to you, Miss Anonymous, is to break it off with this guy. Even if you still love him, you're too good for him. If he treats you like that, then you deserve better. Nobody deserves to be treated like that. He has you afraid, which is exactly what you don't want. You want somebody who you can talk to about anything and not be afraid if he gets mad at you. Not somebody who doesn't appreciate you.
Moon Tree- Fashion:
Hello, fellow Penguins, and welcome to the Gaian fashion column! Here is the place to discuss all manner of methods of dressing your avatar, good and bad, new and old, fashionable or not. In this issue we'll be talking about current trends in the Gaian fashion sphere and the arrival of new items, plus the beginning of a regular section about indispensable items.
On It's Way In:
Gold/Black/White themes: Ever so stylish and high class, according to those who wear it. Thanks to a recent rise in gold items, it's also easier to accomplish than ever before. The Elegant sets jackets especially are a huge thing now, paired with gold jewelry, and a general feel of nobility and wealth.
Penguin Slippers: Yes, they're an old collectible, but apparently enough people have them that they are are on the rise again. They are often seen paired up with a Fresh Grass Skirt and Buckteeth, though people are now branching out from this almost cliched style and beginning to wear them in strange, wild and woolly outfits. However, the great thing about these slippers is that they add an extra touch of cute and silly to every outfit, bringing it all together.
White/Light Blue themes: Hey, what can I say? Angelic style is never out of place. With June's Cloud item this scheme is once more becoming commonplace. Common items used are the Staff of Angels, the aforementioned Cloud, and the Pixie.
Summer Items!
The new release of Gaias summer items was welcomed by all, being the first store release for two months. Contained within it are 101 items, all able to be used by male and female avatars alike. Keeping with the summer theme, most are swimwear—bikinis, one-pieces, speedos, and swim shorts feature heavily, in a large range of colors and styles, just like in real life. Possibly the most fun, versatile items, however, are the dresses and sarongs that came with this release. Coming in a full range of colors (all shades of the rainbow plus white and black), the Empire dresses are pastel shades, while the Tube-Tops are jewel tones. Both are very fun, girly, fashionable lines of clothing, and just in time for a long summer.
The things that really stood out to me were the shoes and accessories. Now on Gaia, you can have your own pair of lace-up platform sandals in one of five shades—perfect for a day at the beach! There are also necklaces that are not unseeable things six pixels across, but very visible jewelry that is worth the price. The water wings and inner tubes are surprisingly adorable, taking a slightly weird item and making it into something cute and functional.
In any case, if I were to rate this release, I would give it an 8.5/10—gorgeous, colorful, fairly flexible items that look good and tend to layer well, but there’s not many outfits that will actually show the skimpier items, so they have a limited usefulness, and you have to work an outfit entirely around them for them to show. And really, there is only so far you can go with beach or pool themes. However, until you reach that point, you’ll still be going “Whee! Pretty new items! Yay!”
This Month’s Indispensable Item:
White Wool Sweater
It layers under everything, (except maybe longjohns), adding a touch of pure white to any outfit. Great use as a filler, covering up skin in monotone or clutter avatars. If worn by itself, it is nice and innocent, adding purity and sweetness to, say, an angelic or goddess-like avatar.
This brings my segment to a close. Come back next issue for something completely different.
Keep it classy, Penguins!

DOORKEY-Recipes:
Chocolate Tartufo--
Tartufo is an Italian ice cream-type dessert. It’s very yummy and only takes about 25 minutes to prepare. I tried it out, and it’s absolutely HEAVENLY. ;D
Ingredients--
· 3 cups chocolate ice cream
· 1 cup frozen pitted cherries, thawed and chopped
· 15 chocolate sandwich cookies, crushed
· 1-1/2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
· 1/2 cup milk chocolate chips
· 2 tsp. Oil
Preparation--
Mix the chopped cherries into the ice cream. Scoop the ice cream mixture into six balls using an ice cream scoop. Sprinkle crushed cookies on a plate and quickly roll the ice-cream balls around in it. Place balls on wax paper-lined cookie sheet and freeze until firm, which will take about 2 hours.
In a small saucepan, melt semisweet chocolate chips with oil, stirring the mixture until smooth. Remove from heat and stir in milk chocolate chips, stirring constantly until chips melt and mixture is smooth again. Cool to lukewarm.
Place frozen ice cream balls on a wire rack. Spoon melted chocolate over each ball, coating the top and sides. Freeze again until firm, at least 1 hour. Remove from freezer 10 minutes before serving. Serves 6.

Samus' Opinion!
-written by samusaran99
Hello, Penguins! Today in Samus' Opinion, I will talk about my opinion on one controversial game on Gaia that has been in the works for about 5 years: The Battle System.
So, everyone has been talking about the Battle System for some time now, whether they think it's cool or whether they think it's lame.
My opinion on it so far? Lame-o.
Why, you ask? Well, I have a few reasons.
My first reason: The Monsters Well, taking a good look at the monsters, I'd say that they look weaker than an ant that learned kung fu. I mean, a Fluff? It looks cute and all, but it's not a real threat. A Garlic? Pfft. I love Garlic salt, but this creature, nope! The only one that looks like a threat is the OMG...and judging on the people who have the OMG as a hat, looks like a piece of cake. Yum.
My second reason: Battle Rings. I saw the info page, and it said that you only have four fingers on each hand. WTF? Talk about weird. Battle rings? Not really liking the idea. I like the skills you get and stuff, but why rings? What about the weapons you get? WHAT ABOUT THE WEAPONS?!
My final reason: The day that they release the Battle System Well. My opinion on what will happen when they release it? The Gaia online server will crash. So many bugs will be released on Gaia. So many computers will freeze, maybe even stop working. It will be a Gaia armageddon. That's all I have to say on that issue.
So, those are my opinions on the Battle System. They might change when they release more info, but I doubt it.
Well, I hope other penguins agree with me. If you don't, that's fine.
That is my opinion for now. See ya, Penguins!
Acid Dipped Waffles-Book Review-
The book Vampirates by Justin Somper is a great book filled with family, friends,
and the love that someone can share with someone else. As twins Grace and Conner Tempest, who have learnt to love the sea and have learnt to also be aware of the dreaded Vampirates who are vampire pirates, are separated onto two different ships, it shows just how far both children will go to be reunited. This books goes into how friends can feel like family and will support you whenever as both Conner and Grace make friends, make enemies, and have a grand adventure on their journey back to each other. It's a fine summer read to suggest to your friends. The bonds are tearjerking and one of a kind making this a definate fave.

Jessi's Corner
Hey, there! This is Jessi's Corner and I will be presenting to you a list of the top 5 books that you should definitely read over the summer holidays. No, that doesn't mean they're summer books, it's just because this is the July edition. Onto the books!
~~~~~
1. Lola Rose
Best book I ever read 5 times. Once you start reading, you just won't be able to put it down. I would definitely give it a 10/10 in excitement and suspense. Trust me on this, go to the nearest library and borrow it immediately or go to the nearest bookstore and buy it immediately. Easily the best book I've ever read.
2. The Clique Series
This serie is excellent. They show you how to survive high school and life. Whether you're a Massie or a Claire. Mmmm....9/10 at best.
3. Archie Digest
I don't know if this would be considered a book since it's a comic book but that doesn't make them any less awesome. They're hilarious situations that Archie, Veronica, Betty and Jughead get into. I, myself, am a collector of these. 8.5/10
4. Holes
It's a great book that shows you the difficulties of life from a boy's view. Mmhmm. Adventure, thriller and suspense. 8/10
5. Small Steps
The exciting sequal to the book "Holes". This time it's in the perspective of one of the other characters in 'Holes' It's alright, not as moving as its prequal. 7/10
~~~~~
And that's all for this month. Stay tuned for next month's Jessi's Corner!
