Well, my nineteenth birthday is coming up and I'm completely unsure of how to celebrate it. I really do want to make it something special, after all a birthday is only once a year... But still the days pass by and I can't think of anything to do. So, I thought to come here and ask some of you!^^
Do any of you have any ideas on creating a sort of lolita-isque birthday? Or perhaps visiting some place in the Northern California area which has some relevence to this lovely lifestyle. Any suggestions are quite welcome.
Thank you ever so much!

You might want to go to a museum that has Rococo or Victorian displays up. In the MET museum over here in NYC, they have their Rococo room displays, their painting exhibit, and then they have a special fashion exhibit where among the Vivienne Westwood and other eccentric styles (including a dress made of pink fiberglass O_o wink , they had a few pieces from Austria and France from back in the 1600's, including a dress from one of Marie Antoinette's court, some lovely Austrian slippers and a very fancy bonnet. ^_~

What would be fun is going to a mini put put course for the beginning its fun and you get to have fun with your friends and to give it an elegant taste perhaps visit an art musuem thats victorian style to follow it up with tea. Its alot of fun and it gives you more than one chance to show your lolita outfits to the world.

There's actually this really cute place kinda by my house. It has a room called the doll room for birthdays, and they serve things like crapes and finger sandwitches, and they serve tea in victorian style tea sets. all the waitresses and waiters even dress up in alice in wonderland outfits! It's the one place where a lolita can walk around without a funny look, (I live in a hicktown full of mostly old people).
You could probubly do something like that yourslf, but it'd be less fun, cuz you'd have to make the food and tea.

I'm thinking of hosting my 21st b-day party at the park. It's practically a children's b-day party, but a rather short one. Since the Observatory is in the same park, we might go there in the evening to take a look at the stars and for some loli snaps biggrin

If I were you i'd invite all of my friends who know what lolita is, and are willing to wear their dresses out in public (some of the mare shy) and go to a park ^__^ Set up a picnic with lots of baked good, little sandwiches, and of course TEA! Try and have games in mind like red light green light, and other games that don't involve too much running around (You don't want to get your dress dirty!)
Well thats all I have sorry^^'
