Because plastic surgery is so popular, it has become very common. Therefore, by observing everyday people who have had surgery, the Asian population now has set standards of what they think is "pretty". Personally, I don't think there is anything wrng with it.

i'm actually getting plastic surgery for my 16th b-day to fix my eyes
i have one double-lid and one not.
it's really noticeable and kinda embarrassing for me. it makes putting on makeup impossible, and im kinda self conscious about it too.
is that so wrong?

If it really is noticeable and seems like a deformity, then I guess it isn't so bad.
But if it's just to satisfy a tiny pet peeve, as all patrons of plastic surgery do, then it is wrong (at least to the likes of OP).

I semi-understand what you are saying about some individuals going astray of their "asian heritage", but I, for one, am a firm believer in plastic surgery. If it makes the person happy, gives them confidence, etc. then why would I be against that? Also, my opinion really doesn't matter much, as people can do whatever they want with their money, and for me to say thats a stupid decision, makes me look incompetent. And calling them traitors? Who are you to be the one to judge their character traits based on appearance? Personally, I would never have plastic surgery, because I feel fine by the way I look now, and on that note, plastic surgery is all good!

I have needle-phobia so I would never get botox or any type of surgery voluntarily. I kinda like my face so I don't wanna mess around with it. Does that make me sound conceited?
