How long, on average, does it take you?
Within weeks, maybe days of it coming out
  A few months, maybe
  Over a year
  Yeeeears and years
  I STILL HAVEN'T FINISHED ONE!

How long does it usually take you to finish a Final Fantasy?

I ask because not hours ago, I finally beat VIII. It only took me half my life... Yup, started when it came out, and I was eight. I've been just sitting there just before Disc 4 for years, unwilling to go on because I haven't done the Queen of Cards sidequest yet... Alas, I finally bit the bullet and beat it today!

The other games, I haven't been quite so bad with. I am, in general, really, really bad with finishing games, but I actually beat X in a decent amount of time. Still haven't finished any of the older ones, though...

*shakes head at you*

They don't take me very long, but I burn through games fast. FFXII holds the record for taking the longest on my first run through by lasting a full 2 weeks til I beat it. And that's counting any game I've ever played not just FF. Now as far as how long it takes me to actually finish a game(by my standards that's going through 100% of the game, getting all the best items/spells/summons) it usually takes about a year and a half and I'm still not finished with FFXII yet.

For a Final Fantasy (or any RPG of the sort) it usually takes about three months to go through all the storyline (plus get some ultimate weapons, do some main sidequests, etc), and I've never finished a game (100% complete) yet (I WILL beat you, StarOcean). So, that's usually about seventy to fifty hours (unless it's the second time I play the game).

I tend to get stuck near the end, though, and sometimes that add a couple months on.

It takes me a long time. I've only finished FF VII and FF X. My problem is that I get new games and I forget to go back and finish the games.

Ah, I've done that too. Not really on Final Fantasy; those tend to take priority, but I've certainly given up on other games for them. Then I go back to old games I've already beaten instead of the ones I haven't. sweatdrop

Oh, I hate it when that happens. It's so annoying when you've got a game to complete, but all you want to do is re-play one of your old ones. xp

2 or 3 weeks. It all depends on how busy I am.
