HEy, I suffer from sever anxiety, triggered by crowds, can someone give me some tips to help calm down when i get into an attack at school or some public place. I don't like taking the anxiety pill because it can be habit forming.

Here's my little tip.. it's what I do when I'm at work or something and I'm surrounded by people and my claustrophobia kicks in. I close my eyes so I can't see the people, and just focus on keeping my breathing slow, deep and steady. That way, it gives my mind something to do, other than panic. Then I just put my eyes in tunnel mode so nothing bothers me as much. =P

If you want another tip, try inhaling filling your stomach with air in 4 counts with 4 being where your stomach is fullest then exhaling in4 and repeating.
