(Okay, maybe not, but at least I'm the first to post?)
Here's a few of my newest poems.
Freaks
The freaks come out at night
They slither out to cause a fright
It truly is the strangest sight
When the freaks come out at night
They’re after you, you see
I smile and say, “Better you than me
But you really should begin to flee
They’re after you, you see”
You’re running much too slow
Now it’s time for you to go
Your tale will soon be one of woe
You’re running much too slow
We’ve caught you now, my friend
You don’t seem scared – we don’t pretend
And so we bring your bloody end
We’ve caught you now, my friend
We freaks come out at night
You really are a grisly sight
So someone, please, snuff the light?
We freaks prefer the night
:In biggrin ecision
Sink fangs in
Suck you dry
Only love can
Get me by
I need it
Kind of sad
How I slip
Through each fad
Try to care
I truly do
But this love…
Is it true?
So I starve
A little more
As I become
A little whore
I don’t know
What is real
I’m losing blood
I cannot feel…
So these fangs
Again sink in
But I only
Drink more sin
I’m searching for
That which surrounds
I cannot find
What’s all around
I’m yearning for
That little thing
I know only
You can bring
But hunger blinds
Who are you?
My true love
Or just food?
Rise:AND:Fall
Growing weary
of life's big game
In the end
he's just the same
Perched on the ledge
no-one below
to just tell him
not to go
No voices raised
He listens still
for someone to save
... but no-one will
Dusk turns to dawn
He closes his eyes
One last time
watches the sun-...
