Oh dear. I never thought I'd see the day that I would be the one explaining this...
Well, "slash" is, basically, a kind of fan-fiction in which the authors take the characters and make them gay, and sleep with each other and stuff. Unfortunately most Queen fanfiction is of that nature. xp

Argh, I miscommunicated horribly! redface
I'll try to explain.
You see, I wasn't at all griping about Freddie's being gay. Or homosexuality in general. It just doesn't matter. I don't care who is sleeping with whom--it's the individual's business, not anyone else's.
What I do hold a grudge against is fanfiction in which the members of Queen are romantically in love with each other and having sex with each other on a regular basis. Call me crazy, but that sort of thing just weirds me out.
It's slash. Slash is what I have a problem with. NOT homosexuals, not Freddie. Slash. (And trust me, if you had read the next story in the series, you would've been grossed out, too...it's very graphic, if you know what I mean.)
