It was a lovely time in the forest, and for Hazel it was extra special. Still on holiday, he had taken to exploring Liam's territory and the enclave when he was too busy, or had other things to attend to. Most days she would follow him, eager to learn what she could about the care of the next generation, but today something had called him away without her. Still, she was happy as could be, knowing she did not have to go winging away just yet.
Today she had decided to meet the other folk who worked with Liam in the enclave. She'd heard of at least one other male, but as of yet she had not seen him. Perhaps he was shy? Or maybe with Liam so occupied with her recently this other male had simply been too busy with the work to meet her yet. While she hated to think she had made more work for someone she didn't regret stealing Liam away. No, not at all.
With a smile on her face and a spring in her step...er, flight, she fluttered to the main tree of the enclave. Calling out to announce her presence, she landed on the nearest platform. "Hello? Anyone here?"

Medlar jumped slightly as Hazel called out, and he turned to look at her, a slightly guilty look on his face. He hadn't been deliberately avoiding her, but she probably felt that he had. But with two fledglings and two eggs, there was quite a bit for both Liam and himself to do around Barkhaven. He was very impressed with how well Liam had handled both his duties as a Minder, and time with Hazel.
"Hello," he said, nodding politely at her, "I'm afraid Liam isn't here at the moment," he added, apologetically. Then, after a moment, "Of course, you're welcome to wait here for him, if you'd like. I'm Medlar, by the way"

Hazel bobbed back at Medlar, then shifted her weight to one side, looking in askance at him. "He had business, I know. I came to meet you, actually." She plodded a little closer. "I supposed it would be a good idea to get to know Liam's friends and coworkers, especially if I'll be stuck here eventually." She smiled at the thought of eggs. Liam and she still hadn't decided what their plan was for that yet, but it was definitely in their future. "So nice to meet you, Medlar. I'm Hazel, but you know that I bet."
